A Study on the Students' Satisfaction with Cyber Education: A Case Study on the Sections of Consumer Education in the University

학습자 입장에서의 사이버 강의 만족에 관한 연구: 대학에서 소비자교육 분야의 강의 사례를 중심으로

This study examined students' satisfaction with cyber education focused on the sections of consumer education in the University. The sample of this study was 94 students taking a 'Consumer Policy & Education' cyber course. The data were collected using structured questionnaires and analysed by descriptive statistics, frequency, percent, mean, SD, t-test and one-way ANOVA with Duncan test. The results of this study were as follows: First, the reason students took a cyber course was that it was easy to manage the course under "self-control". Second, they studied an average 1-2 hours for a one unit lecture at home on weekdays between 9 p.m. and midnight. Third, the students' satisfaction with cyber education showed a slight preference for the web based environment as opposed to the online lessons. Fourth, the biggest problem with taking a cyber course was that the students found it difficult to concentrate well on the lecture.

본 연구는 대학에서 실시하는 소비자 교육 분야의 사이버 교육 학습효과를 알아보기 위해 학습자 입장에서의 사이버 강의에 대한 만족도와 문제점을 조사하였다. 연구 자료는 D대학 가정교육과에 2006년 9월-12월까지 16주 동안 사이버 강좌로 개설된 '소비자 정책과 교육' 교과목 수강생 94명을 대상으로 실시하였다. 자료 처리를 위해 SPSS 14.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, t검증, 일원분산분석과 Duncan 검증을 사용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 사이버 강의를 신청하게 된 동기에서 가장 높은 비율을 보이는 것은 '학습 시간에 대해 자기조절이 가능함'을 들고 있다. 둘째, 사이버 강의와 관련된 일반적 학습현황은 1회분 강의 수강에 대한 평균 학습 시간은 1-2시간미만, 접속 시간대는 밤 9시 이후-자정 사이, 접속 요일은 평일, 접속 장소는 집이 가장 높은 비율을 보였다. 셋째, 사이버 강의에 대한 만족도는 웹 환경 시스템에 대한 만족도가 수업활동에 대한 만족도 보다 다소 높은 점수를 보였다. 수업활동에 대한 만족도를 '수업구성', '수업', '수업자료' 구분하여 조사한 결과 수업구성에 대한 만족도는 높은 반면, 수업에 대한 만족도는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 연구대상자의 배경에 따른 사이버 강의 만족도는 학년과 사이버 강의 경험 유무에 따라서만 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 저학년일수록, 그리고 사이버 강의에 대한 경험이 없는 집단이 강의에 대한 만족도는 높은 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 사이버 강의 수강 시 어려운 점으로 지적 된 것은 '1회분 학습량이 벅찬 것'과 '집중력이 떨어지는 것'을 들고 있다.
