Developing Educational Content for Analysis of Container Terminal Operation

최근 들어 항만물류분야의 중요성이 강조되고 있는 시점에서 항만물류분야의 중추적 역할을 담당하고 있는 컨테이너터미널의 운영능력을 체계적으로 계획하고 분석하기 위한 다양한 연구가 추진되고 있다. 그러나 현재 교육기관에서는 컨테이너터미널 운영을 실습할 수 있는 교육콘텐츠의 부족으로 인해 효율적인 항만물류분야 교육과정을 진행할 수 있는 교육콘텐츠 개발이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 교육기관에서 컨테이너터미널 운영 실습이 가능한 교육용 콘텐츠개발에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 시뮬레이션 기법을 적용하여 컨테이너터미널의 운영을 수행할 수 있는 콘텐츠 개발과정과 적용 및 그 활용방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Recently, the development of an evaluation method with operational rules have become issues for efficient planning and operations of container terminals. Container terminals are required to have enough berths and container yards as well as various equipments and facilities, but in reality there are many differences in their resources owing to the circumstances of each terminal. This study introduces a simulation model to evaluate various operation rules for teaching and training in class. This paper can analyze various factors (e.g. throughputs, yard and berth occupancies, etc.) and shows operational alternatives considering design factors of a container terminal with the related circumstances of each terminal.
