But, department store is a business status where service is emphasized instead of price, it is advantageous to secure service competitiveness rather than price competitiveness. Therefore, by utilizing the professional merchandisers of the supplier even without having its own, the department store will keep the advantageous stand unless it is not a large buying system. Due to many items under control, distribution companies usually have limited source of professional merchandiser for each product. Thus, no matter how the importance of MD has been forced, when considering the practical situation, the tukjeongmeip will always have the competitiveness over the jikmeip.
