Abstract

An 18-month-old, female American Cocker Spaniel was presented with a cataract of left eye. The left eye was blind, and anterior uveitis was noted on ocular examination. Ultrasonography of the eye revealed a hyperechoic mass with distinct borders in the vitreous indicative of lens fiber or mass lesion extending from ciliary body. The eye was enucleated after ultrasonographic examination. On gross examination, rupture of posterior capsule was noted adjacent to the ciliary body.
