The objective of this research is to add convenience to the intranet operating within an educational institution by setting up a messenger function to enable it faculties and teachers to making better use of the university database via Intranet. With this massenger services, users can view the information about the members in a group they belong to, and register as friends a group of members they selected from the work group they are in. This function will reduce the cumbersome chores of adding one individual as a fiend at a time. This research will enhance the Intranet within an educational institution by integrating new functions.

본 논문은 요즘 급부상하고 있는 메신저 기능을 이용해서 학교 내에 구축된 교내 망의 인트라넷 환경에서 구축되어 있는 DB의 정보를 이용하는 학교의 구성원인 교수와 학생들이 좀더 쉽게 인트라넷에 구축되어 있는 정보를 확인하고 활용할 수 있는 메신저구현 및 활용에 관한 연구이다. 즉, 대학내의 구성원의 정보를 확인할 수 있도록 하고 자신이 소속된 그룹 안에서 사용자가 선택한 범위의 인원들을 자동으로 친구로 등록 하여 사용자가 일일이 친구를 추가하는 불편함을 줄여주고 인트라넷의 기능과 기타 추가 기능들을 통해 사용자의 인트라넷의 이용의 편의성을 제공하기 위한 연구이다.
