A Study on the School Library Movement of Provincial Level - With Special Reference to Gyeonggy-Do and Gyeongsangbuk-Do -

지역 단위 학교도서관 운동의 내용과 특성에 관한 연구 - 경기도와 경상북도의 경우를 중심으로 -

The purpose of this paper is to review the school library movement of provincial level. For the purpose current school library movement of Gyeonggy-Do and Gyeongsangbuk-Do are analyzed. The writer looks into motivations, strategies, accomplishments, and characteristics of the movements at the viewpoint of comparison.

이 연구는 최근 주목받고 있는 경기도와 경상북도의 학교도서관 운동을 통해 지역 단위 학교도서관 운동의 의의를 살펴보고 그 성공 요건에 대해 검토해 보기 위한 것이다. 경기도의 학교도서관 운동은 시민 단체가 주도하고 지방행정 당국이 지원하는 민관협력체제로 진행된 학교도서관 운동이라는 점에서 의의를 찾을 수 있으며 경상북도의 경우는 교육행정 당국에서 주도하여 전문 사서교사를 배치함으로써 지속적이며 안정적인 학교도서관 운영의 조건을 확립하였다는 점에서 주목된다고 할 수 있다.
