Planning Process of the Public Library Services for the Economic Development of the Community

지역 경제 발전을 위한 공공도서관 봉사의 계획

Abstract

With the advent of knowledge-based society public libraries’ roles and functions for economic development of the community have been enhancing. Yet public library services in this country are mainly focusing on the areas of culture and education, and thus need to improve in such areas of business and career services. By reviewing literature and cases, this study introduces various programs and services and also planning process for the economic development in the community.

지식 기반 사회의 도래와 함께 지역 경제 발전을 위한 공공도서관의 역할과 기능이 확대하고 있으나 우리나라 공공도서관 봉사는 아직 문화와 교육 분야에 집중되어있어 이 분야의 봉사에 대한 관심이 필요하다. 본 연구는 문헌 조사와 사례연구를 통하여 지역 경제 발전을 위한 공공도서관 봉사의 필요성과 봉사의 영역 및 방법을 소개하고, 봉사의 개선을 위한 계획 과정을 제시하였다.
