머신 비젼 연구의 동향과 전망

Abstract

머신비전 기술은 거의 모든 지능형시스템에 필요한 핵심요소기술이다. 본 논문에서는 최근 머신비전기술의 연구 동향을 이론적 관점과 응용의 측면에서 검토하고 앞으로의 발전 방향을 전망해 보고자 한다. 연구동향을 파악하기 위해서 사용된 자료는 비전분야의 저명한 국제학술대회에 발표된 최근 수년 동안의 논문과 관련 분야에서 인정받고 있는 첨단기술을 중심으로 하였다. 이러한 연구동향을 바탕으로 하여 머신비전 기술의 두 가지 중요한 발전방향으로, "물체인식 분야"와 "비전과 그래픽스의 결합분야"를 예측해 보았다. 머신비전 기술의 응용은 가정자동화(Home automation)와 사회자동화(Social automation)로 예측하였고 그 근거에 대해서도 논의하였다.
