Abstract
The Journals of medical libraries an the primary resources of medical library collections, and the majority of them are foreign journals. Recently, medical libraries have some difficulties in purchasing materials due to the rapidly increasing journal Vices and the curtailment in the budget. A proposal for the establishment of an information center for controlling Korean medical bibliographies was suggested. This system will be expected to contribute to the users for acquiring materials more effectively.
의학도서관에서 당면하고 있는 과제는 의학정보 학술잡지의 고가화, 외국잡지에 대한 선호도. 학술잡지가격의 높은 인상률, 학술잡지 증가에 따른 공간확보 문제 등으로 이는 의학도서관들이 공동으로 대처해서 풀어야할 과제이다. 의학분야의 전문지식을 관리하고 활용하기 위하여 주제전문 사서를 육성하여야하고, 국내 의학분야의 통합데이터베이스 구축이 필요하며, 학문분야의 광역화에 따라 의학정보가 점차 증가하는데 대한 정보를 수집·축적·가공하기 위한 전략 등을 연구하였다.
