- Zinc 5-(4-Nitrophenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin was prepared quantitaively from 5-(-4-Nitrophenyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin as usual by using saturated methanol solution of zinc acetate dihydrate in methylene chloride with refluxing for an hour. The absorption bands in UV/Vis spectroscopy show a typical metalloporphyrins(λ = 587.8,548.2,419.0)
