초록

비디오가 급격히 대중 매체로 부상함에 따라 비디오 자원 관리의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 비디오를 색인하고 구조화하기 위해 샷이나 에피소드 등 여러 단위로 비디오를 분할하기 위한 기법들이 소개되었다. 각 기법은 나름대로의 장점이 있으나 대부분의 경우 비디오 전체를 조사하기 때문에 시간이 무척 소요된다는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 비디오 분할과정에서 프레임들간의 특징 차이를 계승하여 비디오의 주요프레임들은 짧은 시간안에 검출할 수 있는 새로운 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 비디오의 에피소드들을 대표하는 프레임들뿐만 아니라 에피소드가 포함하는 샷들을 대표하는 프레임들도 동시에 추출해준다. 실험을 통하여 제안한 기법이 기존의 기법보다 정확성과 신속성 모든 면에서 우수함을 보였다.
