Abstract
This paper discusses the handle of summer underwears by the method of perception test, sex differences in handle perception, and purchasing intention according to underwear types. 6 men's and 6 women's upper underwears were testing garments of this experimental design, 39 Korean handle description terms were given as questionaries and 360 students were asked to imagine having the underwears on and check the perceived strength for each term. Data were statistically analyzed through factor analysis, ANOVA, and T test. 6 factors were induced to represent the handle of summer underwears and the factors were named as 'heaviness', 'fullness', 'roughness', 'slippery', 'durability', and 'fit'.
