열린교육에서의 개별화수업과 CAI

Individual Instruction and CAI on Open Education

열린교육은 아동에 대한 존중심을 보이는 환경을 제공하고 자유롭고 개별화된 수업이 가능한 교육이라고 정의할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 열린교육의 여러 특성 중에서 개별화 수업에 초점을 맞추었다. 먼저 현 상황에서 개별화 수업의 가능성을 조사하고 그 적용 방법을 제시하였다. 또한 실제 수업에 적용하여 본 후, 문제점을 발견하여 해결책을 제시하고자 하였다. 문제 해결을 위하여 먼저 열린 교육의 이론적 배경과 컴퓨터를 이용한 개별화 수업의 방법들을 간략히 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 진주교대와 한국교육개발원이 초등학교 4학년 실과 수업에 적용할 수 있는 CAI (Computer Assisted Instruction)프로그램을 공동 개발하여 제시한 후, 이 프로그램을 진주교대 부속초등학교의 실제 수업에 적용하여 보았다. 추후 연구로서 이와 같은 CAI를 이용한 개별화 수업의 타당성과 문제점을 조사방법의 기법을 이용하여 통계처리한 후 그 개선책을 제시하고자 한다.

Open education can be defined as education which apply rule of respect, rule of freedom, rule of individual instruction, and rule of environment. The purpose of this study was to look into the present condition of individual instruction, to find the problems of instruction, especially ill practical arts, and then to suggest the improvement plans on the problems. In order to solve the problems, after briefly reviewing theoretical background of open education, we suggested a CAI(Computer Assisted Instruction) program which was made by Chinju National University of Education and KEDI(Korean Educational Development Institute). And then we applied the program to the classes of the 4th grade of elementary school. In this thesis, we didn't analyze the result of the questionnaire or interview, however, it is believed that using CAI program is a adaptive lesson method of individual instruction.
