The purpose of library automation is to enhance the library function by the computer. Systems Librarian Is the person who manages the automation systems, appeared with the presence of library automation. He/she has the professional knowlege of library and information science, experience of library services and computer technology, The purpose of this study is to introduce the role, characteristics, details of job, nature about systems librarian and to sugest how to educate them. It is important to support systems librarian and to study on them for the purpose of promoting library automation.
