A Study on Standards for Digital Library Construction

디지털 도서관 구축을 위한 표준에 관한 고찰

Many digital libraries are constructed for effective management and use of information resources around the world nowadays. While constructing these systems, it is possible to reduce the time, efforts and expenses through getting interoperability by applying the standards. The authors will describe the benefits of standards, development process, types of standards, standards organization, key standards for digital libraries.

최근 정보자원의 효율적인 관리 및 활용을 위해 국내외적으로 디지털 도서관 시스템 구축작업이 활발히 진행중이다. 이러한 시스템 개발자 관련 표준을 적용함으로써 상호운용성을 확보하여 시간과 노력, 비용을 획기적으로 줄일 수 있다. 따라서 본 고에서는 표준의 의의 및 개발과정과 표준의 종류, 주요 표준화기구에 대해 언급을 한 후, 디지털 도서관 시스템 구축을 위한 주요 표준에 대해 설명하고자 한다.
