Abstract
The purpose of this study was to elucidate the effect of blood-and saliva-contamination during dentin pretreatment procedure on tensile bond strength, and to investigate the effect of contaminant-removing treatments on the recovery of bond strength of dentin bonding agents. Dentin specimens prepared from freshly extracted bovine mandibular anterior teeth were divided into non-contaminated control and contaminated experimental groups. The specimens of the contaminated group were contaminated with saliva or blood after etching or priming procedure, followed by contaminant-removing treatments. All the specimens were bonded with All Bond
