인터넷에서 VRML을 이용한 DEM의 3차원 가시화

3D Visualization of DEM using VRML on the Internet

3차원 형상표현 언어인 VRML을 이용하여 손쉽게 얻을 수 있는 DEM 데이타를 직접 인터넷상에서 가시화 하게 되면, VRML이용의 가장 큰 난점일 VRML형식 파일 작성작업이 필요없게 되어 즉자적으로 능동적인 3차원 지도를 이용할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 DEM을 VRML파일로 만들어 인터넷 웹상에서 가시화 시키는 과정을 살펴보고 이를 이용한 인터넷 GIS의 한 가능성을 살펴본다.

If DEM can be visualized by using the VRML which is 3D object expression language, we need not do the most laborous work of making VRML file because of the generality of the DEM. So we can use the 3D interactive map directly. In This paper we can see the DEM visua.lizing procedure and some possibility of Internet GIS using this way.
