Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a computer program for design transformation, as well as automatic design, of women's front bodice. In addition to the accuracy and efficiency, it reflects individual body configurations, alignments, and proportions in automatic designing of front bodice for customized production, providing better fitting of clothings. Also, both one and two dart(s) manipulations are addressed among various design transformations. Therefore, this system can be applied to incorporate the concept of custom-tailored garments, bolter fittness and preferred design variations, into the computer-aided mass production systems of clothings for ultimate customer satisfaction with products. We used AutoCAD R10, running on the 486DX2 micro-computer, for this research.
