Abstract
Five acid hydrazides as precolumn fluorescence derivatization reagents for carboxylic acids in HPLC, which have the benzofuran or benzothiazole moiety conjugated to a furan, thiophene or oxazoline ring, were synthesized and examined in view of reactivity, separability and sensitivity.
