Abstract
The mobility of three nonionic and two anionic spin probes, differing in size and substituent, in dried nylon 6 film was investigated by the ESR spin probe technique. When the size of a spin probe was large and the interaction between the probe molecules and polymer chains existed, the mobility of spin probes decreased. The behavior of two anionic spin Probes was very similar, suggesting that the dial:rence in the sirengh of the interaction could not be detected if spin probes were bulky and rigid. From Arrhenius plots of rotational correlation time, one discontinuity point(Td) was determined. The activation energies for rotation below and above 76 were discussed in terms of the mode of probe rotation.
