Abstract

Quality is the most important strategic issue facing top management of textile manufacturing in the 1990s. It used to be the sole responsbility of the quality professional and confined to the manufacturing floor. Now we see a company-wide concern with quality and recognize that it is affected by every member of the organization, and it requires a change in thinking from the top of the organization to the bottom. This paper presents mainly quality control activities of some textile plants in Taiwan.
