Gene Transformation of Ailanthus altissima Swingle by Agrobacterium tumefaciens

Abstract
An efficient transformation system was established for Ailanthus altissima utilizing the binary system of A. tumefaciens strain LBA4404. Callus was initiated from small portions of cambium tissue of A. altissima in vitro. Optimum regeneration was achieved with Murashige and Skoog(MS) medium containing 0.01mg/
