Abstract

Particle size distribution of disperse dyes in the solution of disperse-reactive dye mixture solution was studied. Particle size of dyes in the dye mixture solution was generally bigger than that in the solution containing single dye. The presence of salt in low temperature disperse dyebath increased aggregation of the dye and this tendency became greater as the hydrophobic property of the dye increased. However, with the increase of dyebath temperature, the presence of salt made disperse dyes more soluble into the micelles.
