The Effect of Carriers on Diffusion Parameters of Cationic Dyes within Acrylic Fiber

Abstract

The effects of carriers on the rate of dye uptake were investigated by measuring diffusion coefficient(D), activation energy(I) and entropy(AS) of C.1. Basic Green 4 diffusion within Courtelle 5. It was found that activation energy and entropy of dyeing decreased while diffusion coefficient increased, demonstrating the effect of carrier on the physical properties of the fibre.
