초록

Acrylic acid and acrylamide were graft polymerized onto polypropylene(PP) film by a photo irradiation method. Higher graft graft yield was obtained by acrylic acid than acrylamide. It was found that acrylic acid(AA) was more susceptible than acrylaimde(AM) to UV irradiation. Potassium chloride(KCl) didn't premeate original PP, whereas KCl permeated AA-and AM-grafted PP membranes. The diffusive permeability of potassium chloride through PP grafted with AA and AM was interpreted in terms of the free volume concept of homogeneously water-swollen membrane. The value of diffusive permeability was increased with the increase in hydration of the membrane. When the compartment of low concentration was replaced with 20 times higher concentration, the value of the diffusive permeability of AM-grafted PP membrane was almost the same, but that of AA-grafted membrane was nearly doubled. It conclusive from the above fact that AA-grafted membrane shown a character of ionic membrane.
