Abstract

Conventionally, the snap reading technique was applied to the survey of ends-break in ring spinning and the supervisors have made the use of analytical data that were estimated by the Poisson's probability law. This procedure requires considerable time lag from the beginning of the survey to the decision of criterion. It will be beneficial if ends-break in ring spinning are surveyed by the population inspection method within the real time domain instead of snap reading technique. The authors developed the population inspection technique by the use of simply designed sensors for the ends-break in ring spinning frame and the analogue quantity were converted to the digital data to construct the net work for the data logging and computer software of criterion of operation efficiency within the real time domain. In this paper the authors will present the whole aspects of the sensor and data logging net work as well as the software for the machine efficiency, work load of ring frame operator and the others needed to the management of ring spinning process.
