A Study on the Abbreviation of Titles of Periodicals

잡지명(雜誌名)의 약기(略記)에 관한 연구(硏究)

The abbreviation of titles of periodicals was studied as a part of standardizations in bibliographic information inscription which were needed for dissemination of scientific and technological informations. The fundamental principles and the base draft were framed for the range of application, the titles of periodicals which should be abbreviated and the conditions and methods of abbreviation. The rules given in this base draft for abbreviation of titles are applicable to write out the secondary source and to describe the references.

본연구(本硏究)는 과학기술정보활동(科學技術情報活動)의 원활화에 필요한 서지정보표준화(書誌情報標準化)의 일환으로 "잡지명(雜誌名)의 약기(略記)"에 대하여 검토하였다. 주로 과학기술계(科學技術系) 잡지명(雜誌名)의 약기(略記)를 위한 기본방침(基本方針)과 기준안(基準案)을 제시하고, 그 적용방법(適用方法)에, 약기(略記)의 대상이 되는 잡지명(雜誌名), 약기(略記)할 수 있는 조건(條件) 및 약기방법(略記方法)에 대하여 기술(記述)하였다. 이 기준안(基準案)에 규정된 약기방법(略記方法)은 "2차자료(次資料)의 작성(作成)"및 "참고문헌(參考文歡)의 기술(記述)"에 적용할 수 있다.
