A Study on the Simulatin for the Queuing Systems

Abstract
As considerable investment should be made for additional facilities, it is an important matter for a Server to find optimal size of the Queuing Systems. A simulation model, utilizing stochastic process, is developed in this thesis to solve the problem. Additative congruential method, producting pseudo-random number is used to make out the number of customer arrivals and to measure the service hours. A frequency Test Serial Test, Gap Test and Poker Test are performed to test the readomness of the random numbers. For the purpose of producing the data to determine an optimal system customer's arrival time and service hour are calculated by combining average arrival rate and average service rate with the generated random numbers and to determine system status, average waiting time, average queuing length and server's idle time, etc., a general purpose queuing simulation model was developed.
