Properties of the Korean Alphabet and its Computer Applications

한글의 특성 및 컴퓨터화의 제문제

A contex-freegammar is defined over the Korean Alphabet which produces linear stings conforming to the sound structure of the language. Methods are then given for transforming these strings into a context-dependent syllabified two dimensional form Also the practical problems in developing d Korean line printer and suggestions for further research are presented.

1967년에 국내최초로 컴퓨터가 도입된 이후 국가경제의 발전과 함께 컴퓨 터시스템의 수는 급격히 증가하였고 4대의 대형 multiprogramming시스템을 포함 하여 50여대의 컴퓨터가 운용되고 있다. 그러나 해외에서 도입된 컴퓨터는 영문 을 중심으로 개발되어 있어 한글 데이터의 코오드화 및 입출력시스템의 개발, 한 글분류(sorting) 및 한글 compiler의 개발 등 한글화하여야 할 문제점이 많다. 한 글의 특성을 formal grammar theory를 중심으로 고찰하고 이를 기계화하기 위한 입출력장치의 개발을 위한 문제점을 검토하였다.
