A Study on the Lateral Compressibility of Yarn(I)
실의 횡압축특성에 관한 연구(I)
Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of yarn geometry on the lateral modulus of yarn, some experiments were carried out, and the experimental results were discussed by the Hertz's equation relating to the contact problem of two elastic bodies. The experiments were carried out with the model yarn made of rubber rods. It was found that the yarn geometric parameters such as yarn twist angle and the ratio of the yarn radius to that of composite rubber rods had influenced on the lateral modulus of yarn.
