Dimensional Stability of $1\times1$ Rib Knitted Stitch
편조직의 형태안정성에 관한 연구
Abstract
This paper discusses the result of some experiments with 1 ×1 rib fabrics knitted of cotton yarns of 10's and 30's counts and the fabrics treated with various relaxed state: dry-, we-and oven-relaxed. In oven-relaxed state, dimensional behavior of 1×1 rib fabrics is dependent on the physical properties of yarns and previous knitting history. In this state, the courses and ribs per inch of 1 ×1 rib structure are linearly proportional to cover factor, and Uγ is independent of loop length. In oven-relaxed state, thickness of 1 ×1 rib structure is linearly proportional to ιu/d and are nonlinear to ιu/d in dry-and wet-relaxed state. Us value of 1 ×1 rib fabrics treated at 70℃ wet-oven-relaxed state is approximately the same as one of 1 ×1 rib fabrics treated at 100℃ wet-relaxed state.
