The Chemical Structure of Koreanin isolated from the Roots of Angelica koreana M$_{maximowicz}$

A new furocoumarin $C_{16}$ H$_{14}$ $O_{5}$, slightly laevo-rotatory white needles m.p. 129-$130^{\circ}$ has been isolated from the roots of the Angelica Koreana M$_{AXIMOWICZ}$ and its structure has been established as 8-(${\beta}{\gamma}$-oxido-iso-amyl)-psoralene, a stereoisomer of heraclenin.
