Abstract

수중통신 환경은 지상과 달리 일반적인 전파통신을 사용할 수 없어 음파, 광, 자기장 등 다양한 매체를 이용하여 통신 환경을 구성하고 있다. 하지만 각 통신 매체의 물리적 특징 때문에 단독으로 사용하기엔 어려움이 존재하여 다중매체 통신을 사용하는 아이디어가 제시되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 다중매체 통신기반의 성형 망에서 매체 간의 프로토콜을 통합하는 통합 프로토콜, Mediation Layer를 설계하고 이를 구현한 중계기를 개발하여 이종매체 간의 통신을 가능하도록 한다.
