Abstract

This paper deals with the method of starting characteristic analysis of a single-phase line-start permanent magnet (LSPM)motor. The starting characteristic such as current, torque and is important in LSPM because of demagnetizing of the permanent magnet. In this paper, the characteristic analysis is performed using finite element method.
