Abstract

Conventional dryer systems use one induction motor to drive drum and fan. However, nowadays, dryer systems are necessary to use extra fan motor for reducing a drying-time. This fan motor should be variable-speed controlled motor to control drying-time according to the volume of clothes. This paper proposes 3-phase SRM(Switched Reluctance Motor) having 12/8 structure for variable-speed fan motor of dryer system.
