A Study on the Safety Facilities of Urban Railway (I)

도시철도 선로안전시설에 관한 고찰(I)

In this paper, safety requirements for guard rails, buffer stops, defensive structures, anti-fire facilities, and safety sidings are studied to establish a standard. Various kinds of guard rails and their construction methods are investigated. Researches on the level difference of main track and guard rail, joint. length, and fastening force of guard rail are done. The classification of buffer stops, defensive structures, anti-fire facilities, and safety sidings and its characteristics are examined. From this study, fundamental data on the safety facilities of urban railway system are established.
