Abstract
Hot environment can cause unseen economic loss by slowdown of human activities owing to the accumulation of heat stress. The attack of a strong heat wave to the highly populated urban areas was even evaluated to result in the more fatal damages than any other natural disaster such as flooding or blizzards (Changnon et al, 1996).
