Abstract
We analyze the nonlinearity of chiral media and coupled-mode theory of chiral multilayers. In first topic, second order nonlinear coupled equations are constructed and a phase matchine method is suggested. This approach can be developed to higher order nonlinearity and electric-field-induced second harmonic generation. In second topic, coupled mode equation in chiral multilayers is constructed, and solved for both codirectional coupling and contradirectional coupling.
