The purpose of this study was to compare the perception of men's lower body shape in the 60s with that in the 20s. On hundred and seven men in the 60s and 178 men in the 20s participated in the survey and measurements. The results were as follows : 1. It was perceived that men in the 60s had broader girth but lighter weight than men in the 20s. The research revealed that men in the 60s was more satisfied with their lower body shape than men in the 20s. 2. It was also found that the ideal size of men in the 60s was broader in the girth of their waist and hip, shorter in their height, and lighter in their weight compared to men in the 20s. 3. It showed a difference in the satisfaction with their body shape between men in the 60s and the 20s. The satisfaction with their lower body shape of men in the 60s was more affected by their perception than by their real measured size. On the other hand, the satisfaction of men in the 20s was affected by their perception as much as by their measured size. 4. If we look at the perception and satisfaction in relation with their body types, we found that there was a difference in the girth of their waist, abdomen, hip, and weight depending on their body types. And men in the 20s showed greater differences in their perception and satisfaction depending on their body types, compared to men in the 60s. 5. The measured size of men in the 20s had greater differences depending on their body types than that of men in the 60s. On the contrary, the ideal size of men in the 60s had greater differences than that of men in the 20s.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the fashion trends of Korean men's golfwears and furnished the researchers of same major with reliable data base. Lately, Korean men were concerned about their appearance rather than social position. Moreover, they tried to express the needs of youthfulness with free lift through clothings. These trend had been showed itself not only development of golfwears, but also change of esthetic tastes of men's golfwears. First of all, the development of men's golfwears was affected by the major three factors out of many various factors. That is, popularization of golf by the international activities of Korean progolfers, appearance of young consumers after IMF and the casualization of the men's formal dress, the making an everyday dress of men's sportswears. The results of analyzing of fashion trends of the men's golfwears is as follow: 1. The characteristics with naturalness, comfort of men's golfwears was manifested casualization trends by the factors of downward tendency of golfer's age, 5-days working, men's biz casual preference, individual ism after IMF. 2. Men's character golfwears was showed by the ageless as a youthfulness expression, the Sportism as an international trend, 2002 world cup, etc. 3. All of golfwears have to be functional characteristics because the golf is an active sports spending long time in golf course. Unconstruction style was an important fashion trends of men's golfwears by using functional materials to meet the needs of consumers. 4. The men's clothing was deviated from a fixed idea called masculine after IMF. Moreover, this trend was increased by the appearance of lovely man, genderlessness and had an effect on men's golfwears. Consequently. men's golfwears was showed feminization characteristics as a feminine, sensitive style. In the future, Korean men will try to express their character and thought freely through golfwears, men's golfwears will be continued ‘beyond the golf course’ image reflecting in the future fashion trends.
This study examines if men in the 20's and 30's have different preference for bag types according to their age and gender-role identity types in order to provide foundational data for the male bag market to segment its customers and establish marketing strategies. Total 288 questionnaire sheets were distributed to 186 men in the 20's and 102 men in the 30's residing in Busan. First, according to the result of analyzing their preference for bag types, adult men in the 20's and 30's preferred cross bags the most. It was also shown that men who are feminine or androgynous prefer back packs, shoulder bags, and tote bags to the other two types. Second, about cross bags, men in the 20's showed a higher rate of having two or three than those in the 30's. Men in the 20's possessed back packs more than those in the 30's. And men tend to show a lower rate of having shoulder bags compared with that of cross bags or back packs. Men in the 30's possessed briefcases more than those in the 20's. Masculine men had more briefcases than the other types of bags, and androgynous men tend to have more tote bags than the other types of bags. Third, men in the 20's and 30's all deemed that back packs go well with the casual style. Men in the 20's regarded shoulder bags are the type of bags that harmoniously matches all styles including casual or semi-suit; however, men in the 30's think they only suit casual or semi-suit. And it was also found that men in the 20's think briefcases are the type of bags that goes well with various styles of clothes while men in the 20's consider they are the type of bags only matching suits.
The purposes of this study was to identify perfume purchasing and using behavior according to men's fashion lifestyle. Self-administered questionnaires were used for data collection. The subjects were 317 men aged 19-40. The results were as follows: First, over half of men had purchased at least one perfume during last year and the price was 30,000-60,000won. Men selected perfumes which harmonized with their image or purposes of using perfumes. Men selected a perfume as a present for their girl friends or wives to convey their concern or love. Most men purchased perfumes at department stores and selected after experiencing samples, and by affecting advertisements of newspapers or journals. Over 60% of men possessed at least one perfume and most of them were imported perfumes. Most men used perfume on a special day such as dates or job interviews, and they received perfume as a gift from their girl friends or wives. Most men used perfumes to enjoy fragrances by themselves and preferred sea fragrance most. Second, factors of men's fashion lifestyle were fashion information, individuality, conservativeness, ostentation, activity, and fashion style. Men were segmented into ostentatious consumption group, active group, fashion leader group, and fashion retard group. Third, fashion leader group purchased perfumes more than other groups and fashion retard group purchased the least.
The purpose of this study was examining the preference difference of the necktie design for the stripe patterns according to the demographic characteristics. The study method was a research study through a survey. The study subject was the adult men in their from 20's to 50's. The study stimulative was the stripe patterns of man's necktie which were made by Adobe Photoshop 9 with using the color, the arrangement, the interval, and the width of necktie. The results of study are as follows. As the difference analysis result for the color preference for stripe pattern according to the demographic characteristic, men in their 20's preferred most gray series, men whose monthly income is less than two millions won and men of owner-operator preferred most red series, and all the rest of men preferred blue series. As the difference analysis result for the preference of arrangement type, men in their 20's preferred most the stripe pattern of width, students preferred most the stripe pattern of length, all the rest of men preferred most the stripe pattern of diagonal. As the difference analysis result for the preference of stripe interval for necktie, unmarried men, students, men in their 20's, and men engaging in sales/service and production work preferred most the interval of 0.6cm, all the rest of men preferred most the interval of 1.2cm. As the difference analysis result for the preference of necktie width, unmarried men, men in their 20's, men engaging in sales/service and production work, and students preferred most the width of 7cm, all the rest of men preferred most the interval of 8cm.
In order to help the marketers of the men\`s casual wear brands establish the marketing strategies to their target consumers, it is the purpose of this study to investigate on the variables affecting the casual wear purchase behavior of men in twenties, thirties and forties, and to clarify the differences of casual wear purchase behavior according to their age, The subjects were 429 men in their twenties, thirties and forties living in Seoul and data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation, x², ANOVA and Duncan\`s test. The results were as follows : (1) Significant differences were found among men in twenties, thirties and forties according to the self-image. Men in forties favored the conservative and not-noticeable image of casual wear, however, men in twenties and thirties favored those of the active, sexy, and distinctive image. (2) Significant differences were found among men in twenties, thirties and forties according to the importance of the store attributes such as convenience of transportation and parking place, clothing in vogue, and various merchandise. Men in thirties and forties put more importance on convenience of transportation and parking place. Men in forties put more importance on various merchandise than men in twenties and thirties. (3) Significant differences were found among men in twenties, thirties and forties according to general purchase behavior of casual wear. * Differences of the use of information according to age Majority of the men consulted the T.V., radio and people in their boundaries * Differences of the clothing purchase frequency according to age Men in twenties buy more clothing than other age groups. Men in twenties buy the clothing every one month and every three months and men in thirties and forties buy the clothing every three months and every six months. * Differences of the shopping day according to age Majority of the men buy the clothing on Saturday and Sunday. The head and face are the most complicated structures of the human body. However, unlike apparel products, many of the head and face related products are produced in unisex or one-size-fits-all. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a practical analysis that reflects these size structures. This study analyzed head and face measurements of men, women, and both men and women; its purpose lying in clarifying the differences and commonalities between the measurements of men and women and discovering the possibility of integrating analysis on measurements of men and women. 3D face and head measurement data of men and women from 20 to 29 years-old from Size Korea's 6th human body size data were analyzed for this study. The mutual 9 factors were extracted as the results of the three factor analyses (both men and women) separately and men and women integrated. However in the cluster analysis based on the 9 factors, men and women showed mutual characteristics and different landscape in group types and distribution. The purposes of this article were three folds; to find general trends of the conception of love, sexual attitudes and mate conditions of unmarried men and women, to investigate relationships among them and to analyze the effect of significant variables influencing mate conditions. The samples were the 164 unmarried men and 235 unmarried women living in Kwang-ju. Major findings were as follows; 1) Unmarried men revealed higher concern in commitment of love and they were more liberal in sexual attitudes than women. Women desired higher level of mate conditions than men compared with themselves. 2) Women's conception of love was more related to their sexual attitudes and homogeneous mate conditions than men. Men's sexual attitudes were related to their homogeneous mate conditions, while those of women were related to interactional mate conditions. 3) Men's external mate conditions were affected by job, and internal mate conditions were affected by passion of love and sex role attitude. Men's homogeneous mate conditions were affected by attitude of premarital sexual experience, intimacy of love and conception of sexuality, and those of women's were affected by passion of love and age. Men's interactional mate conditions were affected by sex role attitude, job and education. Therefore unmarried men and women's conception of love and sexual attitudes were associated with homogeneous and interactional mate conditions.

Here, men's body silhouette is being sublimated aesthetically through design with various materials such as see-through and leather etc., and this is body conscious image that can be seen only in metro sexual.
