  • Recently the unprecedented progress of Android platform and Google Play has brought more opportunities for individual mobile game developers. When playing an Android 3D game, users can accidentally hit HOME Key or BACK Key or receive an incoming message. Subsequently, another screen will appear on top and make the game application lose focus, or the operating system pause that game. These interruption events may also lead to the loss of game information or the game runs out of user control if that game cannot catch interruption events itself and resume at the exact time. As same as other mobile platforms, Android platform also provides Activity Lifecycle methods to help the game application control interruption problems. However, these methods are not adequate to solve all the interruption events. By implementing ANDCube game, we examine most of the possible interruption cases and propose some solutions to help Android game developers avoid some common interruption cases. Concurrently, we show the ways how a game application can catch all unavoidable interruption events and effectively resume from interruption to obtain a high quality game.

  • In this paper, I examines the spatial representation of the change in the environment of the digital platform, and play the game with a focus on the spatial characteristics of a digital game. First, what is the Spatial characteristic of digital games? This section applies to a digital game "theory of Lefebvre", and the spatial representation of the practice space, divided into representational space were explored. Second, how to express dealing Is there space in the genre of adventure games? The spatial characteristics of the game medium through the Spatial characteristic of the adventure game genre that is most striking examples was analyzed whether the expression in any way. Consequently, the spatial characteristics of the digital game studies of the game as well as think a very large role in the development direction. In addition, this case analysis of the expression is the basis of this digital game that is utilized in many areas, and I am sure many possibilities to find a positive role in the game.

  • The purpose of this study is to clarify correlation between preference for game element and game addiction in elementary-school students. In the current elementary-school students, the game addiction is reaching the serious situation. However, there are almost no research that specifically inquired into preference for game element in elementary-school students, and research that inquired into relationship between game element and game addiction. Therefore, this study aims to prevent game addiction by clarifying correlation between the addiction to game and the relevant game element. As a result of researching, the preference for game element was significantly higher in male students than in female students. And, the students of preferring a game were higher compared to the students of not preferring a game. The preference for the social desire satisfaction was higher in the lower academic achievements. The preference for the sensible desire satisfaction and for the intellectual desire satisfaction was the highest in students of preferring RTS game. And, the preference in students of preferring racing and action game was the lowest.

  • Most of the games developed or marketed in the Chinese game market are developed and serviced in foreign countries or are produced in Korea (China) and marketed as services of foreign game companies. If China wants to become the world's game development powerhouse, I think that professional education in multiple methods is the top priority. In particular, I think that a specialized game design department is necessary at a university in China. In this paper, we investigate the game design departments of universities in the United States and the game development powers in South Korea and the Korean game development powers to analyze the educational system of the game design department. Through comparative analysis, a Chinese university finds the necessary elements when establishing a new game design department, and trains advanced game developers in the game field at the Chinese Department of Digital Media Arts. If this study is helpful to the game education in China, it will be studied in the future for the master's program and the doctoral program.

And I am with all kinds of electronic amusements to do a computer with a partner and baseball, soccer, golf, tennis, several hundred to enjoy in a stadium. Most games except a computer game are local, and a case to receive a courtship is in a game during this because I need time, personnel (the other party)? and a game tool. But a computer game is single, and a game is possible, and a number for the merit that can easily play a game by an offer of all tools is, and for this reason a lot of games to enjoy in a computer please be, and it has been transplanted. I do I in order to announce that interface of a game studied a problem and an improvement plan to have let there be a few I (to game interface) if a game is ported with a computer in this study by this.

  • Purpose Research purpose is extraction of the factors affecting game flow and satisfaction in mobile game. Design/methodology/approach In mobile game, the factors affecting game flow were classified into three parts: mobile game platform characteristics, user cognition characteristics, and user individual characteristics through previous studies for existing online game and mobile game. In the research we extracted the factors as follows: the connectivity, usability, network speed, pleasure, service quality, relatedness, proficiency, self-fulfillment, early adopter tendency, and competitive spirit. Using the factors, we established research model and tested hypotheses empirically. This survey was conducted five months targeting from teenagers to fifties with mobile game experience. The questionnaire items were reconstructed according to the questionnaires of the present study or those newly developed by the game experts and total 56 items in the literature of Internet game, smartphone game, and mobile game based on the existing literature study respectively. Findings According to the analysis result, this study showed that ease of use, enjoyment, self - fulfillment and competitive spirit had a significant influence on user flow and also that service quality, proficiency and competitive spirit had a significant influence on user satisfaction in mobile games.

  • This paper is to show how electronic game components can galvanize into the outdated regions. The purpose of this study is to research on game mechanics and PX(player experience) for the interactive urban regeneration design with gamification. Urban regeneration involves the old public, private and community sectors to improve the quality of urban life and to reach a sustainable development of urban economic. The gamification is the idea of using game-thinking and game mechanics to solve problem and engage players, so theoretical background of gamification is based on game design studies such as game components and MDA framework which consists of mechanics, dynamics, and aesthetics. Most of researchers regard game mechanics as game components and converse, but game mechanics is representative of these two terms. So this paper treats game mechanics as the first effective factor for successful urban renewal. Such games which have huge fans bring the powerful and manipulated user experience, a well-gamified applications can provide players (stand for users, audiences, customers, clients, buyers, learners, patients, soldiers, etc) with the supreme user experience, aka PX(player experience) causing playful behavior and a positive mindset. The main goal of gamification of urban regeneration is to encourage greater engagement in renewed town people(player) and aiding in creating richer experiences in everyday life events through game mechanics and PX. Also this paper shows tens of gamification ideas for interactive urban revitalization.

  • Effective and Economic game evaluation before game publishing is very important for game development company. In this paper, we designed and developed an effective web based game evaluation system according to three major game genre including MMORPG, FPS, and web game. The proposed evaluation model consists of five evaluation items such as game interest, competitiveness, technology, earning power, and market value and has common evaluation items and independent ones according to game genre. To reflect characteristics of each game genre, we divided evaluation items into common evaluation elements and individual ones according to game genre. We applied the proposed system to two real games of a game development company and showed the result.

  • Computer games need game formulas which express game rules by mathematical functions because the game rules are automatically processed by computers. The game formulas are usually multi-variable functions. So the design of a game formula is a complex and difficult problem because it is the same problem of the design of a multi-variable function which should satisfy the related game rules. In this paper we propose a new method which can systematically design game formulas. The purposed method is the decomposing of tree structure for a game formula by analyzing the tree structure of the operands which have single-variable functions on the lowest levels. So the design method can change the complex and difficult problem of the design of a multi-variable function to the simple and easy problem of the design of the single-variable function which should satisfy the related game rules.

  • The reality is that existing games are commercial or violent rather than informative. So, such a phenomenon resulted in many social problems. To solve such problems, I designed and implemented a game which is not violent but educative and child-friendly. In this thesis, an educative game is defined and its characteristics are described. I designed the user interface of the game for children, proposed relevant algorithms, and showed resultant screens of the game. Also, I compared the game with the existing games in order to prove that my game is non-violent, non-commercial, and rather educative. This ladder rejection game is different from the existing game in terms of design, functions, and contents of the screen. This paper contains specific explanations about the supplemented ladder rejection game. First, the design of this ladder rejection game extended fundamental principles of the existing game and added new diverse functions.
