Technology Trend of Additive Manufacturing Standardization (적층제조기술의 품질 표준화 동향)

  • Additive manufacturing technology is recognized as an optimal technology for mass-customized distributed production because it can yield products with high design freedom by applying an automated production system. However, the introduction of novel technologies to the additive manufacturing industry is generally delayed, and technology uncertainty has been pointed out as one of the main causes. This paper presents the results of the research and analysis of current standardization trends that are related to additive manufacturing by examining the hierarchical structure of the quality system along with the various industry and evaluation standards. Consequently, it was confirmed that the currently unfolding standardization does not sufficiently reflect the characteristics of additive manufacturing technology, and rather can become a barrier to entry for market participants or an element that suppresses the lateral shearing ability of additive manufacturing technology.

A Study of Current Work in Curriculum Development for School Mathematics in Korea towards the 21st Century

  • The curriculum differentiation is supposed to maximize individual strength and possibilities of the students, and to maximize educational efficiency by differentiating the instructions according to students' abilities, aptitudes, needs and interests. The Ministry of Education has suggested a stepwise model for school mathematics. This model is named "Stepwise Curriculum Differentiation"(段階別 敎育課程 差別化). In this paper, we would like to make a specific proposal for the 7th curriculum. Our proposal reflects fully the guidelines of the Ministry of Education. It is also based on the national curriculum history up to the present time. It could be used as a reference for the continuing work of curriculum reformation. We suggest dividing the contents of mathematics for 1-10th graders into about 15 steps, to use the step-based textbooks instead of the grade-based ones, and to prepare evaluation standards for each step. We also suggest that the classes for grades 11-12 be organized according to their optional courses and/or their steps.

  • The Technical Proposal Tendering system is recognized as an ordering means with the most reasonable merits for the construction projects, however, many evaluation standards and hearing procedures are applicable to the conventional method. Because the possible cost reduction of construction works is highly estimated, it is possible to induce the cost reduction. But the excessive shortening of works period has raised a variety of problems such as concerns on poor construction due to the valuation on the contributed performance improvement and the shortening of works period. Accordingly, after investigating the processing and ordered status on the Technical Proposal Tendering and sorting out problems based on existing researches, this study estimated important problems and analyzed each gradual one through the rate of importance. The results diagnosed the possible CM application as a means to solve major problems of technical proposal bidding.

The present status of environmental education administration in the middle schools of Seoul City (학교 환경교육관련 업무현황과 개선방향 - 서울시 소재 중학교를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the present status of environmental education administration in the middle schools of Seoul City and to find problems to be solved environmental education in middle schools. To accomplish these purpose surveys for middle school teachers in Seoul was conducted, and evaluation reports of school environmental education of 1998 were analyzed. The results indicated that both schools and Ministry of Education offered few evaluation standards related to environmental education. Most schools abolished division of environmental affairs because of the reorganization of school system, which focuses on subject and aptitude-based education. In addition, environmental education and related activities were maily the responsibilities of division of science education. The teachers responded that such activities as organization and management of mothers'social service, management of environment day, use of environmental conservation card, and establishment of conservation area were not effective and should be abolished. The conclusion from this study are that environmental education can be effective only when goals of environmental education are included in school evaluation, and the division of environmental affairs should be revived and systematically operated in school.

  • Nowadays, housing density in a city is getting higher, and this trend is expected to continue in the future. Therefore, Skyscraper is considered as future alternative architecture beyond symbolic meaning in aspect of demand and supply of urban land. However, skyscrapers which were newly built in Korea have many problems such as consumption of enormous amounts of energy, destruction of natural environment, and traffic jam. And from now on, environment-friendly development of skyscraper is urgently needed. However, plans or evaluation standards, which take account of the environment-friendly aspect of skyscraper, leave much to be desired. And especially it is hard to find environment-friendly skyscrapers. Therefore, this study aims to find realistic alternative solutions of environment-friendly skyscraper through analysis of the works of Ken Yeang who has been known as bio-climatic architect and tried to apply environment-friendly plans to skyscraper.

A Theoritical Study on The Effectiveness of Performance Appraisal formats (인사고과의 양식의 효과성에 대한 이론적 고찰)

  • Appraisal format is the methods that is used to gether informations related to performance behaviors. Appraisal format has descriptive characteristics including evalustion dimensions, anchors, scales. The purpose of this paper is to study the effectiveness of a format characteristics of the appraisal results through literature review and to explore more approprate appraisal format through comparing three types of formats, graphic scales, BARS, BOS. According to the results, rating format's characteristics can affect the quality of appreisa results in that appraisal format can provide rators with evaluation standards which help raters to evaluate effectively. Specific dimensions are better than gernal one dimension. The effectiveness of scale in some degrees depends on development procedure. In general anchors are important to reduce rating errors and behavioral anchors are better than numeric anchors, The systematically developed BARS and BOS can reduce rating erros but graphic scales has limitstions.

  • 본 연구는 국내대학의 교원들의 학술논문업적에 관한 합리적이고 객관적인 평가방법 개발에 비계가 되고자, 현재 국내 대학에서 시행중인 교원업적평가 중 학술논문평가기준을 비교 분석하였다. 우선 문헌정보학과가 포함된 국내 종합대학 27개교의 학술논문평가기준을 수집하여 비교한 다음, 2001년에서 2014년까지의 전국문헌정보학과 교원들의 학술논문 서지데이터를 이용하여 학술지의 영향력지수 및 피인용횟수를 적용한 순위와 27개대학 평가기준을 적용한 순위를 학교별, 저자별로 도출하여 비교 분석하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 교원들의 공정한 평가방안 마련에 도모하고자 하며, 교원의 연구 및 학문활동의 상승 제고 뿐 아니라 대학 내 연구환경 개선까지 다방면으로 교원의 사기진작에 도움이 되고자 한다.

A Comparative Study on the Ecological Pond in School between rural area and small town (농촌지역과 소도시간 학교 생태연못 특성 비교분석에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to investigate and analyze the actual conditions of the ecological ponds built in the campus sites of the elementary, middle and high schools which currently manage ecological ponds in order to find problems and directions for improvement concerning the management of the ponds as a way to build nature-friendly ecological ponds which can be used as an ecological work-study site on school campus: this study also intends to provide systematic and technological directions for the management and operation of the ecological pond. This study has selected 10 schools in North Chungcheong Province, where ponds are constructed, and investigated actual conditions of the ponds based on the survey, analysis, and evaluation standards compatible with the school environments, and finally judged the general relevancy of the ponds. The results of this study make us conclude that the most important issue to be considered in the processes of selection and investigation for school ecological pond is the location of the pond.

A Study on the Summer Thermal Environment in Korean Urban Residences (도시주택의 여름철 온열환경에 관한 측정실험 연구)

  • This is a basic study designed to discover the most comfortable thermal environment for Korean residences. The purpose of the research is to observe and measure the summer thermal environment in Korean urban detached single family houses and apartments by utilising proposed evaluation standards and methods. The technique used involves the measurement of environmental elements, such as indoor temperature, relative humidity and radiant temperature both in detached single family houses and apartments. Also, in order to understand the resident's thermal comfort response. ASHRAE' thermal sensation 9th level, indoor temperature 5th level, and thermal discomfort 4th level in the psycho-physical voting scale (1972) was used. In conclusion, among Korean urban residences, detached single family houses provided a more stable thermal environment than apartments, as shown by physical psychological evaluations. The possible reason for such stability in detached single family houses may be the usage of reinforced concrete structures which maintain consistent temperatures.

A Study on the Structural Safety of Photovoltaic System Mounted on Balcony Railing (발코니 거치 태양광 발전장치의 구조적 안전성에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to evaluate the structural safety of the balcony photovoltaic systems easily installed or moved on the buildings. Also, the systems are controlled by solar altitudes focused on its mobility rather than high efficiency generation performance thereof. The results of the study are as follows. Two types of typical photovoltaic systems which can be mounted on the balcony are proposed, and, the sizes of the systems are designed to be adjusted within certain ranges of the frames in order to attach the various rail sizes. To evaluate the structural safety of the proposed systems, several simulation evaluations are performed on the safety evaluation standards by the Ministry of Construction-Transportation and KCI 2007. The results are that the proposed plans are reasonable in terms of stress and deflection in the structural aspects at the wind pressures of $1,907(N/m^2)$ of external wall surface under the condition of wind velocity higher than 25(m/s).
