Inactivation of the DevS Histidine Kinase of Mycobacterium smegmatis by the Formation of the Intersubunit Disulfide Bond (Subunit 간의 disulfide 결합 형성에 의한 Mycobacterium smegmatis DevS histidine kinase의 불활성화)

  • The DevSR two-component system is a major regulatory system involved in redox sensing in Mycobacterium smegmatis. The DevSR system consists of the DevS histidine kinase and its cognate DevR response regulator. When exposed to hypoxic conditions, the DevS histidine kinase is activated to phosphorylate the DevR response regulator, leading to the transcriptional activation of the DevR regulation. The ligand-binding state of the heme embedded in the N-terminal GAF domain of DevS determines the kinase activity of DevS. In this study, we demonstrated that the redox-responsive cysteine (C547) in the C-terminal kinase domain is involved in the redox-dependent control of DevS kinase activity. The formation of an intersubunit disulfide bond between the C547 residues in the presence of $O_2$ led to inactivation of DevS kinase activity. The reduction of the oxidized DevS with reductants such as $\beta$-mercaptoethanol and dithiothreitol resulted in the restoration of DevS kinase activity. It was demonstrated in vivo by complementation test that the substitution of C547 to alanine partially impaired the sensory function of DevS in M. smegmatis.

A Study on the Sasang Constitutional Symptom of Taeumin by Voice Characteristics (음향특성에 따른 태음인 체질병증(體質病證) 연구(硏究))

Objectives and Methods This study was done to investigate the relationships of Sound parameters between Liver Heat Symptom and Esophagus Symptom of Taeumin using PSSC(Phonetic System of Sasang Constitution) in a sentence. Experimental Participants were 20 Korean adult males including, each 10 Liver Heat Symptom and Esophagus Symptom of Taeumin. 2. Results In Pitch segment, APQ segment and Shimmer segment, there were no significant differences between Liver Heat Symptom and Esophagus Symptom of Taeumin. In Octave segment, there were significant differences in Octave 1, Octave 3, Octave 4, Octave 6 of Liver Heat Symptom of Taeumin were significantly high compared with Esophagus Symptom of Taeumin. In Energy segment, FreQ Domain Total Sum / cnt(0), 0k-2k Total Sum,0k-2k sum dev., 2k-4k Total Sum, 2k-4k sum dev., A# Tot E, B__TOT_E, C__TOT_E, C# Tot E, D__TOT_E, A sum dev., A# sum dev., B sum dev., C sum dev., C# sum dev., Dsum dev., D# sum dev., E sum dev., F sum dev., F# sum dev., G sum dev., G# sum dev. of Liver Heat Symptom of Taeumin were significantly high compared with Esophagus Symptom of Taeumin. In Voice Recording time segment, Total Voice Recording Time, Voice Recording Time, Divide By Time3, Divide By Energy10, Total Unit, Max Unit Position, U_0 TO 3 of Liver Heat Symptom of Taeumin were significantly high compared with Esophagus Symptom of Taeumin. 3. Conclusion From above result, there is the postbility of efficiency quide constitutional sx. of Taeumin by Voice characteristics. More Soeumin, Soyangin and Taeyangin Symptoms are needed to determine Sasang Constitution using PSSC and to make PSSC effective.

  • DevOps is a combining which means giving a diverse environments for software development and operations through whole software lifecycle. The key value of the proposed DevOps platform is the fast and stable service capability for a software development and operation environment. To do this, the DevOps gives pre-embedded 7 programming languages-Java, C/C++, Python, PHP, Ruby, Node.js, goLang and 7 service frameworks - Korea eGov Framework, Spring, Struts, Django, Laravel, Rails, Express. With the DevOps platform, it is possible to develop a software and also to build and distribute operation packages directly with the Linux containers. In this paper, the performance evaluation for a compile time, a distribution time and a processing capability is will be also proved. Though the performance evaluation, this paper shows capabilities of the proposed DevOps for Cloud services with commercial service level, prospectively.

  • For IEEE 802.15.3 HR-WPAN, we propose the DABL algorithm that PNC can allocate the channel times to the DEV in super frame in order that system frame throughput is increased and the delay is decreased. In detail, the DABL algorithm allows to dynamically allocate channel time as well as to adaptively apply the modulation and coding scheme based on the link quality of the DEV. In addition, due to the facts that QoS is quite different depending on service types, we provide the DABL algorithm taking into account RT(Real Time) traffic and Non-RT traffic respectively. Finally, we show simulation results of the DABL algorithm compared to the conventional algorithm that the PNC equally allocates channel times to the DEV regardless of the link quality of the DEV.

  • This paper presents a resource management mechanism for the mesh networking in IEEE 802.15.3 High-rate WPAN. IEEE 802.15 TGS is standardizing the MAC and PHY for mese networking. This task group researches the mechanism that are extension of network coverage without increasing transmit power of receive sensitivity, and studies the enhanced reliability via route redundancy. In this paper we propose the distributed resource management scheme that is fairly using the channel resource in the piconet without centralized piconet coordinator. Each DEV reserves the channel time and broadcasts its information. This scheme has unfairness for later associated DEV because of preoccupation of earlier associated DEVs. This paper presents the method that fairly allocates the channel time in MAC layer. And we evaluate the performance enhancement using simple simulations.

  • The new power train system for electric vehicle is introduced in this paper. This system includes two light weighted and high-efficient motor, two space vector PWM inverter, one system controller using CAN controller and DSP320C50. These are developed by KERI cooperated with 5 major industry companies, 5 universities including 2 foreign universities. The reliability and performance are proven by the test rig. The reference data will be collected for further researches.

  • 소프트웨어 생명주기 중 가장 많은 비용이 유지보수 개발에서 발생한다. 대형 소프트웨어 시스템의 운영 유지보수 표준은 ISO/IEC 20000 으로 프로세스통합운영 및 개선활동 중심이어서 유지보수 개발에 대한 SR(Service Request) 처리시 개발 표준 및 구체적 절차가 미비하다. 그러나 대형 소프트웨어 시스템 구축 개발 시 많이 채택하고 있는 CMMI-DEV 표준을 ISO/IEC 20000 유지보수 조직 및 팀원이 내제화를 함으로써 유지보수 개발의 상호 보완적 프로세스로 명세 명확화 및 품질을 제고할 수 있고, 생산성과 효율성을 증대할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 ISO/IEC 20000 유지보수 조직이 운영하고 있는 표준절차에 CMMI-DEV 표준 프로세스를 상호보완적으로 매칭한 표준절차를 적용한 통합모델을 제안한다. ISO/IEC 20000 모델의 개발단계에 CMMI-DEV 프로세스 모델을 적용한 통합 모델을 구축하고 실제 프로젝트에 적용하여 본 연구의 실효성을 검증한다.
