  • Focusing on the situation where there are not many actual users of VR / AR, this study, from the viewpoint of technology adoption and use, explores the adoption-and-use process of AR contents that can be easily accessed by using smartphones. As a result, the factors influencing the necessity of AR contents were 'enjoyment' and 'satisfaction', and other factors, such as 'innovativeness', 'the experience of using similar media', and 'the number of AR usage', did not have significant impact on the necessity of AR contents. In addition, as a result of verifying level differences in 'enjoyment', 'satisfaction' and 'necessity' according to the experience of using AR content, only the 'enjoyment' and 'satisfaction' showed that there are differences. In other words, it can be interpreted that the users in their 20s actively use AR content only when they expect to have fun and satisfaction. To sum up, this study can provide an important implication for understanding the tendency of early AR content users' perception and usage behavior.

  • $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ analytical data of hornblende and muscovite separates from granitic rocks in southwestern region of Ogcheon belt shows fellowing tectonic implication, $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ data of 5 samples yield apparent age spectra and $^{37}Ar_{ca}/^{39}Ar_k$ and $^{38}Ar_{CI}/^{39}Ar_k$ plateaus for more than 60% of the $^{39}Ar$ release. Except for HN-100, the $^{36}Ar/^{40}Ar$ versus $^{39}Ar/^{40}Ar$ corelalation diagrams indicate the presence of one distint line. Muscovite of sample PKJ-44 yield flate apparent age plateau for > 60% of the $^{39}Ar_k$ release. In the high temperature steps, the $^{37}Ar_{ca}/^{39}Ar_k$ values are irregular with a correlative increase in $^{38}Ar_{CI}/^{39}Ar_k$, suggesting some Ca and CI rich phase, tapped between the silicate sheet is being argon degassed. The $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ total gas age and the high temperature age of HN-100 is 918.2 Ma and 1360 Ma, respectively. The former affectted by recystallized age of Daebo Orogeny, and the latter indicated age of hornblende closure temperature for cooling stage of amphibole xenolith in granite gneiss. Three rock types of Kwangju granites show about 165 Ma hornblende and muscovite ages with some degassed argon at low temperature steps. These ages of 4 samples indicate also recrystallized age by Daebo Orogeny. In $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ mineral age, Rb/Sr whole age and K/Ar mineral age, discordant ages of southwestern region of Ogcheon belt suggesting cooling rates approaching 3~4$^{\circ}C$/m. y. Such slow cooling rates can be produced by uplift rate of 100m/m.y. or slightly slower than isothem-migration rate derived from the hornblende samples. We conclude that the strongest Orogeny and igneous activity of southwestern region of Ogcheon belt are middle proterozoic era (about 1360 Ma) and middle Jurassic period (about 165 Ma).

  • Purpose: Nasal cytology is important in the diagnosis and treatment of nasal inflammatory diseases. Treatment of allergic rhinitis (AR) according to nasal cytology has not been fully studied. We plan to explore the individualized treatment of AR according to nasal cytology. Methods: Nasal cytology from 468 AR patients was examined for inflammatory cell quantity (grade 0-5) and the percentage of neutrophils and eosinophils. Results were subdivided into the following categories: AR(Eos), eosinophil ${\geq}50%$ of the whole inflammatory cells; AR(Neu), neutrophils ${\geq}90%$; AR(Eos/Neu), $10%{\leq}$ eosinophil <50%; AR(Low), grade 0/1 inflammatory cell quantity. Nasal cytology-guided treatment was implemented: all AR(Eos) patients (n=22) and half of the AR(Neu) patients (AR[Neu1], n=22) were treated with mometasone furoate spray and oral loratadine. Another half of the AR(Neu) patients (AR[Neu2], n=22) were treated with oral clarithromycin. Visual analog scale (VAS), symptom scores, and nasal cytology were evaluated 2 weeks before and after treatment. Results: There were 224/468 (47.86%) AR(Eos), 67/468 (14.32%) AR(Neu), 112/468 (23.93%) AR(Eos/Neu), and 65/468 (13.89%) AR(Low) of the AR patients studied. There were no significant differences in clinical characteristics among these subgroups, except that the nasal blockage score was higher in AR(Eos) patients than in AR(Neu) patients (1.99 vs 1.50, P=0.02). Comparing AR(Eos) patients with AR(Neu1) patients 2 weeks after treatment, nasal symptoms and VAS were significantly lower in AR(Eos) patients, except for nasal blockage symptoms (P<0.05 of nasal itching and sneezing; P<0.01 for nasal secretion, total scores, and VAS). Comparing AR(Neu1) with AR(Neu2) patients, nasal symptoms, and VAS were significantly lower in AR(Neu2), except for nasal blockage and nasal itching symptoms (P<0.05 for nasal secretions, sneezing, total score, and VAS). Conclusions: Nasal cytology may have important value in subtyping AR and optimizing AR treatment. Treating neutrophils is very important in AR patients with locally predominant neutrophils.

  • Augmented Reality (AR) is a crucial technology in the Fourth Industrial Revolution that can revolutionize the existing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) market and powerfully create a new market However, it is hard to find the clear answer for AD/PR strategies in the rapidly changing AR market. Thus this research explores the big picture of the AR industry as it pertains to Politics, Economy, Social, and Technology through in-depth interview with seven AR experts who are leading the domestic AR market. The research also analyzes the AR market's Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. Furthermore, it looks for strategies to vitalize the advertising and PR industry by analyzing the Contents, Platform, Network, and Devices of the AR ecosystem. The results of the research indicate a need for the government's strengthened policy of supporting the AR market, fostering of pace-setting killer contents, connecting services of several industries through AR platforms, strengthening the network of communication systems such as through 5G, and the commercialization and industrialization of domestic devices in order to vitalize the AR industry in its marketing and PR spheres. Therefore, this research suggests measures to revitalize the marketing and PR industries of the AR ecosystem, which has only recently gotten to its developing stage and provides an academic as well as practical foundation for future research in the field of AR.

  • We have dated the K-Ar, Ar-Ar and U-Pb ages of the Masan hornblende-biotite granite in the southern Cretaceous Gyeongsang basin to constrain its emplacement age. The ~108 Ma hornblende K-Ar age obtained in the study is similar to the previously reported Rb-Sr age. However, the single grain total fusion $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ dating on hornblende failed to yield statistically meaningful ages because the isotopic system was open during its alteration. Thus the hornblende K-Ar age in the study is also unlikely to be reliable. The single grain total fusion $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ dating on biotite yielded an average age of $75.8{\pm}3.0Ma$. Apart from scattered data in the range of ~45-75 Ma, the average age increased to ~80 Ma. The SHRIMP and LA-MC-ICPMS U-Pb isotopic compositions of zircon from the Masan hornblende-biotite granite yielded its emplacement age as $87.6{\pm}2.7Ma$ and $86.8{\pm}0.4Ma$, respectively. It is thus likely that the ~80 Ma $^{40}Ar/^{39}Ar$ age of biotite might reflect the cooling age of Masan hornblende-biotite granite or the thermal influences from later intense igneous activities in the Gyeongsang basin.

  • K-Ar dating system of Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI) was installed in 1997 and has been used since then. The system consists of high temperature graphite furnace, gas purification system, and mass spectrometer with data acquisition system. K-Ar age is determined by the measurement of the concentrations of Ar and K through isotope dilution method using $^{38}Ar$ as spike and flame spectroscopy, respectively. The accuracy and reliability for the K-Ar age are checked using the several K-Ar standard materials. Although the exact age determination for young samples of less than 1 Ma is hampered by small fluctuations of sensitivity and mass discrimination, the present system yields the reliable K-Ar age compared to the standard materials of Tertiary and Mesozoic age. The measurements for the SORI93 biotite with the recommended K-Ar age of $92.6\pm$0.6 Ma and Bern4M muscovite of $18.5\pm$0.6 Ma yield the reliable age of $92.1\pm$1.1 Ma and $17.8\pm$0.2 Ma, respectively.

  • UN-REDD (United Nations programme on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation in Developing Countries) and AR-CDM (Afforestation/Reforestation-Clean Development Mechanism) is currently being emerged as one of important mechanism to reduce carbon dioxide in relation to the deforestation. Discussion on North Korea as UN-REDD/AR-CDM project target continues with a view to preventing deforestation and to securing CER(certified emission reduction) for South Korea. The forests in Mt. Baekdu are degraded, deforestation is occurred, nevertheless, portion of forested area is still high, where both REDD and AR-CDM investment potential are quite high. Accordingly, this study is intended to explore a simultaneous registration potential to UNREDD/AR-CDM for Mt. Baekdu although separate registration to UN-REDD or AR-CDM has already gained worldwide recognition as a typical method in the process of GHG (Greenhouse Gas) reduction project. The results indicate that selecting UN-REDD or AR-CDM in accordance with sub-watershed forest condition could capture 53.2% more carbon dioxide than REDD alone and 21.9% more than AR-CDM alone. It is anticipated that this research output could be used as a realistic evidence to introduce carbon sequestering project in accordance with sub-watershed forest condition.
