Factors Affecting Intentions to Use Internet-Only Bank in South Korea: Implications of Service Convenience and Social Influence (인터넷전문은행의 이용의도에 미치는 영향 요인: 편리성과 사회적 영향의 함의)

  • Internet-only bank is one of the promising areas of Fintech industry. Kbank and Kakaobank launched services since 2017 in Korea. Experts estimated the younger generation including undergraduate students as target customers in the initial stage of the Internet-only bank in Korea. Thus, it is necessary to investigate factors influencing intention to use the Internet-only bank. Data were collected from undergraduate students studying in Seoul, Pusan, and Gyeongbuk province. The empirical study showed the evidence that four factors such as convenience, social influence, perceived privacy, and unverified risk had a significant influence on intention to use the Internet-only bank. However, economic benefit has no significantly influence on the intention. The present study focused on the influence of convenience and social influence and discussed the issues regarding convenience and social influence in more detail.

  • This study aims to present a direction for securing continuous growth and confidence, centering on two Internet banking companies that started recently. The banking market has been rewriting the history since the emergence of Internet professional banks. In order to improve the credibility and promote the development of the Internet professional banks, I conducted a questionnaire survey and In Depth Interview. As a result of this survey, the overall reliability is still low, and the factors affecting reliability are: 1.Security problem 2.Discomfort of customer service 3.Errors and unnecessary services. This is a start-up business, so the awareness and reliability can be changed soon. Therefore, it is necessary to continue research on this according to the changing user's perception.

Satisfaction and Continuous Use Intention of Internet-only Banks (케이뱅크와 카카오뱅크 이용자들의 만족도와 지속 사용 의도의 결정 요인)

  • Internet-based financial services are being increasingly integrated into consumers' daily lives. Internet-only banks have emerged as a powerful tool accelerating financial inclusion. This study investigates the satisfaction and continuous use intention predictors for Internet-only banks. We employed an extended post-acceptance model and used six antecedent factors that included perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, privacy risk, functional risk, subjective norms, and network externality. All 351 participants used Internet-only banks and were 20-40 years of age. A self-administration online survey was conducted. SPSS 23.0 analyzed the frequency, description, and multiple regression analysis. The results of current study are as follows. The education, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and network externality positively influenced the satisfaction of Internet-only banks. Privacy risk negatively influenced satisfaction with Internet-only banks. Perceived ease of use, subjective norm, network externality, and satisfaction positively influenced the continuous use intention of Internet-only banks. The results of our study provide a better explanation of important factors that could enhance the understanding of satisfaction and continuous use intention for Internet-only banks. Furthermore, this study extends the antecedent variables to the knowledge of financial services and enlarges the understanding of users' post-adoption behaviors.

  • 본 논문에서는 정해진 형태의 정보를 입력하면 태양광, 풍력 등의 분산형전원의 도입 및 운용에 대한 각종 정보를 상세하고 전문적(설계나 감리, 운용자 등)인 측면에서 제공받을 수 있는 시스템의 알고리즘을 개발하고자 한다. 구체적으로는 분산형전원의 계통연계 시에 발생할 수 있는 정상, 비정상(사고), 전력품질에 대한 9개의 항목으로 전력용량, 전기방식, 역률, 뱅크 역조류, 상시전압변동, 순시전압변동, 플리커, 단락용량, 연계가능용량 등이며, 분산형전원의 배전계통에의 연계 적합 여부를 종합적으로 판단하는 시스템이다.

  • 국가차원의 신 재생에너지 활성화 방안에 따라 지자체 등의 분산전원 시실계획이 점차 증가하고 있으나, 아직 우리나라에서는 분산전원의 배전계통 연계에 대한 체계적인 기술지침이 초기 단계에 있거나 제정 중에 있어서, 계통 연계와 관련하여 발전사업자와 전력회사간의 이해가 상충되는 등 문제점이 발생되고 있다. 또한, 대규모 분산전원 단지의 도입이 이루어지고 있으나, 이에 대한 기술적인 평가방안이나 해석 방법이 구체적으로 제시되어 있지 않아, 설치자(시도 및 지자체)와 운용자(한전의 배전지사/지점)들은 많은 혼돈과 어려움을 겪고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 태양광, 풍력 등의 분산전원이 배전계통에 도입되는 경우, 연계에 대한 기술적인적합여부를 종합적으로 평가 할 수 있도록 분산전원 연계판정 시뮬레이션 시스템을 연구하였다. 즉, 구체적으로는 전력용량, 전기방식, 역률, 뱅크 역 조류, 상시전압변동, 순시전압변동, 플리커, 단락용량, 연계가능용량 등이며, 이들 항목을 계통연계 가이드라인과 평가 알고리즘에 의하여 연계 적합 여부를 판단해 주는 시스템이다.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine service acceptance process of Internet-Only Bank centered on perceived usefulness, confirmation, service satisfaction, adoption intention. this study examine relation of perceived usefulness, confirmation, service satisfaction based on previous studies. And we examine the effect of Internet-Only Bank satisfaction on adoption intention. Also, we studied the relationship between perceived usefulness, confirmation, service satisfaction according to Internet-Only Bank services providers. The following are main results of this study. First, perceived usefulness, confirmation have significant effects on service satisfaction. Second, service satisfaction of Internet-Only Bank have a positive effect on adoption intention of Internet-Only Bank. Third, The relationship between perceived usefulness, confirmation and service satisfaction is differ depending on Internet-Only Bank services providers. Based on these findings, in this study examined the significant influence of Internet-Only Bank. Through this study, we propose to marketing practitioners the need for a splitted strategy based on Internet-Only Bank services providers.

A Study on the Development of the Korean Internet Banks (한국 인터넷은행의 발전 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Korea came to see its first internet bank as 'K bank' obtained the digital-only banking license in December 2016. This paper suggests ways to foster internet banks of Korea in their early stage by analyzing the successful cases of overseas internet banks. The followings are the key success factors identified from those cases across Europe, Japan, China, and USA: Support from the related government authorities; Stable governance structure; Distinct business capabilities based on information & communications technology(ICT). These points lead to the following implications for Korean internet banks. Regulatory restrictions on owning and running internet banks should be lifted to facilitate innovation. Policies to support internet bank industry should be introduced as it is a vital part of the 4th industrial revolution. Finally, internet banks should strive to differentiate themselves by utilizing their ICT capabilities. Subjects of the further research hereafter should include the following: Analyzing the ongoing performance and developments of digital banks in Korea; Deriving success factors from the analysis; Assessing the influence and effects on financial market and economic environment.
