  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether ego-resilience has mediating effects on the relationships between elementary school student's smartphone dependence and attention. This study was conducted on 326 5th grade elementary school students in Gimhae city, and SPSS 24.0 program was used for data analysis. The result of this study was as follows. First, elementary school students' smartphone dependence showed a significant negative correlation with ego-resilience. Second, the elementary school students' smartphone dependence showed a significant negative correlation with attention. Third, as a result of analyzing the mediating effect of ego-resilience on the elementary school students' relationship with their smartphone dependence and attention, the ego-resilience has a partial mediating effect. Based on these results, suggestions were as follows: education for good use of smartphone, establishment and dissemination of family model related to smartphone use, and practical efforts and training to improve ego-resilience.

  • This study was conducted to understand the relationship between elementary students' beliefs supporting aggression, aggression and self-esteem. In addition, we aimed to provide basic data for controlling the aggression of children and developing effective coping strategies. This study population consisted of 184 elementary school students. Data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 program. As a result, the aggression of elementary school students showed a significant positive correlation with beliefs supporting aggression(r=.39, p<.001) and a significant negative correlation with self-esteem(r=-.46, p<.001). In addition, Results of the hierarchical regression analysis revealed that self-esteem has the mediating effect on the relationship between beliefs supporting aggression and aggression(${\beta}=.26$, p<.001). In other words, the higher the beliefs supporting aggression, the higher the aggression, and self-esteem means to act as a mediating effect in the relationship between them. Therefore, when arranging an intervention plan to control the aggression of elementary school students, it is necessary to find strategies to control the beliefs spporting aggression and increase self-esteem.

  • This study aims to analyze elementary gifted students' inquiries on combinatoric tasks. In particular, we designed circular permutation tasks and analyzed students' inquiries on these tasks. We especially analyzed students' expressions, counting processes, and their construction of set of outcomes. The findings showed that the students utilized analogy to resolve given tasks, and they had difficulties in categorizing and re-categorizing possible outcomes of given tasks. Their improper use of analogy also caused difficulties in resolving circular permutation tasks.

  • Almost every children are naturally non competitive, so they have test anxiety. Because grading in paper-pencil tests is related to competition with their friends. Intense competition should not be a part of the classroom environment. This study intends to reflect current standardized tests(summative evaluations) in an elementary school mathematics(2008) and reconstructed it's problem. Teachers should provide students with rich situational problem-solving opportunities. Therefore we conclude "summative evaluation are consisted of some large problem type which contain some subproblems, or from easy(simple) problem with relation to difficult problem)".
