The purpose of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of the community development by the community involvement level of the corporate social contribution activities. This study classified Korean company's best social contribution activities according to the community involvement level and the effectiveness of the community development was analyzed on selected case activities. As a result, corporations that working on high level of community involvement show positive effectiveness of community development. Networking and communication with local people on the corporate social contribution activities have an effect on the community development of the economy, safety, convenience, comfortability, socio-cultural factor. It is necessary for the participation and communication with local people to develop corporate social contribution consistently. Furthermore, intermediary organization is needed to be set up various networks of stakeholders, especially community.

This research is purposed to analyze the effect of firms' current socially responsible management on the future corporate financial performance with specified areas of socially responsible management according to the beneficiaries. Tobin's Q statistic and return on assets are calculated and exploited as measures of corporate financial performance. as of empirical analysis results, we found that the social contributions in the consumer area and external social contribution at time t influence the Tobin's Q statistic at time (t+1) in the aggregate analysis. as it is revealed that there is no effect in the firms with the outstanding social performance to the future corporate financial performance, we understand that the capital market is very sensitive to the external social contribution including consumers of firms with the weak social performance rather than the social contribution of socially outstanding firms. This sensitivity of capital market can effectively enhance the social contribution of firms, in particular listed firms with the weak social performance.

GS칼텍스는 '에너지로 나누는 아름다운 대한민국'이라는 사회공헌 슬로건 아래 기업의 사회적 책임을 다하기 위해 활발한 사회공헌활동을 펼치고 있다. 특히 GS칼텍스는 기부금품 위주로 물질적 지원을 넘어 회사 임직원과 지역사회 고객이 함께 참여하여 사회공헌활동을 펼침으로써, 함께 발전하는 지역공동체를 만들고, 나눔문화를 확산시키고자 노력하고 있다. 이를 위해 GS칼텍스는 지난 2005년 사내에 사회공헌 전담부서를 만들었으며, 2006년 8월, 2006년부터 2015년까지 10년 간 매년 100억원씩 출연해 총 1천억원 규모의 공익사업을 전개하는 GS칼텍스재단을 설립하였다. GS칼텍스는 기존에 회사가 펼쳐왔던 공익활동들을 기반으로 회사가 매년 재단에 출연하는 재원을 더해, 의미 있는 공익사업을 펼쳐나가고 있다.

This study paid attention to the social cultural ripple effect which as a project for the past 10 years, the corporate social responsibility gave to local residents. Especially the study considered the effect appearing from encouragement of cultural activities of residents in abandoned mine which were culturally disadvantaged, and would search for productive ways for continuous development of casino industry and local community in the future. The study area was mainly Taebaek, Gohan, Sabuk located in abandoned mine and the number of residents involved were 185. Through surveys, first, demographic characteristics of respondents were investigated, second, recognition level and satisfaction, third, social cultural impacts of social responsibility of Kangwon Land according to that, and last negative image make over by corporate social responsibility were analyzed. As the result of the investigation, 185 of first response in general recognized the corporate social responsibility of Kangwon Land, and their satisfaction about that was also high. In addition they felt the quality of life were bettered after the development of casino.

Due to the growing awareness and demand for corporate social responsibility, the corporate activities designed to make a social contribution are becoming increasingly diversified. Nonetheless, according to a periodic survey, the public has become dissatisfied with the social contribution activities of domestic corporations. The perceptions of the social contribution activities of domestic corporations and the public were found to be quite different. In this study, the Social Contribution Activities were classified into three factors, "Socio-Cultural Resource Activities", "Indirect Social Resource activities" and "Economic Resource Activities", and the effect of each factor on the inter-firm connected activities and achievements of local development were analyzed. Firstly, the "Socio-Cultural Resource Activities" and "Indirect Social Resource Activities" were shown to have a positive effect on the Inter-firm connected activities in the community. Secondly, it was found that the more active the Inter-firm connected activities were in the community, the bigger their positive effect was on the achievements of local development. Thirdly, the "Economic Resource Activities" were shown to have a positive effect on the achievement of local development. Fourthly, "Socio-Cultural Resource Activities" and "Indirect Social Resource Activities" were shown to have a positive effect on the Inter-firm connected activities and an indirect positive effect on the achievement of local development. Based on this research, we quantitatively determine the relationship between the corporate social contribution activities and performance.

Some spread-effects and their dynamics accruing to regional community from the new location of large firms would be an interesting theme in economic geography On the assumption that all firms not only should. have cooperative relations with their regional communities but also try to realize such cooperations in case of locating their facilities, some rationale for their philanthropic activities will be discussed in this paper. The focus of this paper is on the community contributions or philanthropy which are executed as the non-profit motivated activities of firms. Why and how should firms respond to the growing requirements of their communities, and what type of philanthropic activities could be good for their social behavioral contexts are the questions to be solved in this study. It is possible to get some guidelines of a firm's philanthropy through the comparisons on the practices in the three largest firm.5: Kodak. Dupont, and POSCO.

This study examined the importance of social contribution through the existing research data on social contribution and the progress of social contribution activities of public institutions in Wonju Innovation City. The social contribution activities of nine organizations out of 14 public institutions were analyzed in detail and suggested the right direction of social contribution activities of public institutions based on this analysis. First, recent trends are being developed to cooperate with local communities through public interest activities rather than simple donations or sponsored forms of social contribution. Second, the synergy effect was maximized by systematically approaching local communities rather than a one-time, one-off social contribution. Third, it should contribute to the revitalization of the local economy in the mid- and long-term by creating a social economy in cooperation with local civil society rather than a one-sided social contribution.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the logical bases and the real situation of the CSR(corporate social responsibility) execution in the context of local governance. Basically, some management necessities to establish a strategic relationship between a firm and its regional community, is the main reason of CSR execution in the region or in general. Although some costs in forms of money or manpower or resources, should be paid to execute the CSR in a short term, there are so many advantages resulting from it in terms of long time periods. Corporate social responsibility seeks to induce a sustainable harmony or interdependent relationship between the firm and its regional community. In case of POSCO Gwangyang works, so much various forms of community contributions are promoted as a part of CSR executions from the passive reaction for civil petitions to the good corporate citizenship activities. In spite of such an active CSR execution in Gwangyang works, there seems to be required that another way within the works should be explored in order to make it much more effective. Optimal distribution of various resources which are called out for the CSR, is one of the key factors that can affect the strategic result of CSR.

사회의 환경변화에 따라 기업 또한 기업 또한 과거 폐쇄적 수직 체계의 position power에서 개방적 수평체계의 communication power로 역할이 변화하고 있다. 기업의 사회적 책임 이행의 대표적인 활동인 사회공헌활동은 지역사회와의 소통 수단 뿐 아니라 새로운 마케팅전략으로 자리매김 되고 있다. 사회공헌활동의 성공요소 중 가장 중요한 것은 구성원의 봉사적 마인드이다. 봉사적 마인드는 이론 뿐 아니라 실천적 행동철학에 기인 한다. 기업이 바라는 인재상과도 밀접한 관계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 기업이 신입사원 채용시 봉사활동 실적을 반영하는데 있어서 표준적인 가이드라인을 연구 제시하고자 한다.
