자바는 썬 마이크로시스템즈사의 제임스 고슬링(James Gosling)에 의해 고안된 언어로 운영체제 및 하드웨어 플랫폼에 독립적인 차세대 언어로 최근에 가장 널리 사용하는 범용 프로그래밍 언어 중 하나이다. 자바 프로그램은 컴파일러에 의해 각 플랫폼에 독립적인 중간 코드 형태의 바이트코드로 변환된 클래스 파일로 생성되면 JVM(Java Virtual Machine)에 의해 실행된다. 마이크로소프트사의 .NET 플랫폼과 C# 언어는 프로그래머들의 요구를 충족시키고 썬사의 JVM 환경과 자바 언어에 대응하기 위해서 개발된 플랫폼과 언어이다. C#과 같은 .NET 언어는 컴파일러에 의해 MSIL(MicroSoft Intermediate Language) 코드로 번역되며 번역된 MSIL 코드는 .NET 플랫폼 환경에서 런타임 엔진인 CLR(Common Language Runtime)에 의해 실행이 된다. 자바로 작성된 프로그램은 JVM 플랫폼에서는 실행이 되지만 .NET 플랫폼에서 실행이 되지 않고, 반대로 C#과 같은 .NET 언어로 작성된 프로그램은 .NET 플랫폼에서는 실행이 되지만 JVM 플랫폼에서 실행이 되지 않는다. 이런 이유로 본 논문에서는 자바소스를 컴파일하여 생성된 클래스 파일에서 Oolong 코드를 생성하고 생성된 Oolong 코드를 .NET의 MSIL 코드로 변환하여 자바로 구현된 프로그램이 .NET 환경에서 실행되도록 하는 Bytecode-to-MSIL 번역기 시스템을 구현하였다. 따라서, 자바 프로그래머는 JVM이나 .NET 플랫폼 환경에 관계없이 프로그램을 작성하여 실행시킬 수 있다. 번역기 시스템의 구현을 정형화하기 위해 Oolong 코드의 명령어들을 문법으로 작성하였으며, PGS를 통해 생성된 어휘 정보를 가지고 스캐너를 구성하였으며, 파싱테이블을 가지고 파서를 설계하였다. 파서의 출력으로 AST가 생성되면 번역기는 AST를 탐색하면서 의미적으로 동등한 MSIL 코드를 생성하도록 시스템을 컴파일러 기법을 이용하여 모듈별로 구성하였다.

As a result of a growing demand for various mobile devices, the demand for application programs on the devices is on the rise. The Java language that is platform-independent rapidly rose as the best programming language for mobile devices. However, the Java has a problem that does not support platform-dependent features needed by the application. To solve this problem, the JNI technology was introduced by Sun Microsystems. Programmers using the JNI to write native methods need to have a lot of knowledge about the JNI and the internal structure of the JVM. Also, the increased load by using a number of JNI functions may decrease software productivity and quality. Demands for tools writing native method without understanding of JNI are progressively increasing. To develop these tools, it is necessary to translate automatically the differences between Java and C/C++. In this study, I suggested a way to overcome differences between both languages and developed JNI editor that is an integrated develope environment on the basis of this.

In this paper we introduce a new style multiparadigm language named Argos which applies a compositional approach [20] to multiparadigm programming. Argos is a superset of the Java, and its grammar has an extension point which allows other languages to be used in Argos programs. Therefore, Argos can support object-oriented programming and multiparadigm programming by enabling each method in a class to be implemented with one of the Java, C, Prolog, Python, and XML languages. Since Argos allows the existing languages to be used, it has advantages such as easiness of learning and high reusability. The Argos compiler is implemented according to the delegating compiler object (DCO) model[28,29]. The compiler partitions a program Into several parts according to the languages used in methods and delivers the parts the languages' processors which compile the parts.

According evolution of computer technology, computers execute complex and several tasks. Because of the complexity of program and restriction of programming language, applications are implemented using one more programming language. But it is no general methodology for using several languages and implementing it. This paper classified usages of programming language integration and methodology for implements programming languages integration through HLID(Heterogeneous Language Integration Degree) for solving above problem. And using HLID, it designed and implemented Java Preprocessor that improvement JNI-current implementation for integration between object-oriented language Java and procedural language C.

현재 다양한 패러다임의 수많은 프로그래밍 언어가 존재하고 있으며, 각각의 프로그래밍 언어를 실습하려면 해석기(interpreter)나 컴파일러(compiler) 같은 언어처리기를 갖추는 것이 필요하다. 언어처리기를 개별적으로 갖추는 것은 설치에 대한 시간적 부담, 시스템 자원 낭비 업그레이드의 필요성 등으로 인해서 언어 학습과 직접적인 관련이 없는 부분에 대한 부담이 커진다. 본 논문에서는 WWW 환경에서 프로그래밍 언어를 실습할 수 있는 시스템을 구축하였다. 실습하는 프로그래밍 언어는 특정 서버에 제한적이지 않고, 네트워크를 통한 분산환경에서 확장이 용이하다. 또한 실습환경을 설정하는 구성 파일은 구조화된 문서의 작성을 지원하는 XML을 이용하여 관리자가 쉽게 구성파일을 작성할 수 있도록 했고, 자바의 정책(policy)파일을 이용해 시스템 자원 사용 허가를 투명하게 했다.

Java, a platform independent object-oriented programming language, is widely used, however it should be integrated with JNI to use system services or to reuse legacy systems. Though JNI provides the standard APIs which allow Java to be combined with C/$C^{++}$, it is very hard and cumbersome for developers to use JNI APIs. In order to address this problem, we introduce a translator named C2JNI, which converts the embedded C program into a JNI compatible C program. With C2JNI, developers can Integrate Java and C programs without JNI APIs, and it will reduce the complexity caused by JNI APIs.

자바는 현재 가장 널리 사용되는 범용 프로그래밍 언어중 하나로 컴파일러에 의해 중간언어인 바이트코드로 변환되며 JVM(Java Virtual Machine)에 의해 실행되는 플랫폼 독립적인 언어이다. SIL(Standard Intermediate Language)은 Microsoft사의 .NET 언어와 SUN사의 Java 언어 등을 모두 수용할 수 있는 임베디드 시스템을 위한 중간언어로 가상기계인 EVM(Embedded Virtual Machine)에서 실행된다. 본 논문에서는 자바 프로그램을 컴파일하여 생성된 클래스 파일에서 Oolong 코드를 추출하고 추출된 Oolong 코드를 EVM의 SIL 코드로 변환하여 자바로 구현된 프로그램이 EVM에서 실행되도록 하는 Bytecode-to-SIL 번역기 시스템을 구현하였다. 그리고 본 번역기 시스템을 다른 플랫폼에 용이하게 설치하기 위한 재목적성(retargetability)을 위해 단일패스(one-pass)을 사용하는 기존의 번역기들과 달리 AST를 이용한 컴파일러 기법을 사용하여 AST가 가지고 있는 정보에 대해 최적화 작업을 수행하여 보다 효과적인 코드 변환을 할 수 있도록 설계하였다.

자바는 컴파일러에 의해 아키텍처 독립적인 바이트코드로 구성된 바이너리 형태의 클래스 파일을 생성하면 JVM에 의해 하드웨어와 운영체제에 상관없이 실행이 가능한 플랫폼 독립적인 언어로 현재 가장 널리 사용되는 범용 프로그램 언어중 하나이다. The standard Java class library does not support the platform-dependent features needed by the application. Therefore, the Java application including the platform -dependent features must supplement the required features by invoking native functions using JNI. The native language programmer has to explicitly specify how to connect to various Java objects and later to disconnect from them. In this paper, I suggest a way to avoid these annoying works. The native method in the pure java class can not contain a native code block. By providing a native code block for the native method, it is possible for programmer to write a native code without being aware of JNI. To achieve this, I introduced the native class that is a java class on the native environment, and made it possible to interchange data by placing an arbitrator between the java class and the native class.

자바는 객체 지향 프로그래밍언어로써 클래스 파일내에 자바 소스코드에 나타나지 않는 여러 가지 정보를 내포하고 있다. 비주얼 자바 클래스 파일 브라우저는 가상 머신에 의해 실행되는 자바 프로그램내의 클래스들 사이의 호출관계와 상속관계, 각 클래스 파일의 내용을 브라우저를 통해 시각적으로 표시함으로써 하부 구조인 자바 가상 머신에서 동작하는 자바 클래스 파일의 다양한 분석을 수행한다.
