  • The purpose of this study is to investigate influencing factors of nursing students' academic stress focusing on dimensions of empathy, ego-resilience, and stress coping strategies. Academic stress, dimensions of empathy, ego-resilience, and stress coping strategies among subjects were collected using structured questionnaires from 305 nursing students between November 1, 2015 and November 30, 2015. The results of this study showed that the factors affecting nursing students' academic stress were grade, personality orientation, major satisfaction, ego-resilience and emotion focused coping style, and the total explanatory power was 54.1%. To improve nursing students' academic stress, it is necessary to pay attention to the nursing students who are in their upper grades, extroverted, and with low major satisfaction. In developing a program to reduce academic stress, it is thought that it is necessary to include measures to raise the level of ego-resilience and to improve the level of emotion focused coping style among stress-coping strategies, and to conduct subsequent research to identify pathways in which the dimensions of empathy, ego-resilience and stress-coping strategies affect academic stress.

  • Many diseases occur by stress or effect of stress. The basis for using hormones in research of stress is the observation that most systems in the body show changes during stress and that hormonal markers in these changes are related with stress. Conceptually, the central role of sympathetic nervous system(SNS) and hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal(HPA) axis activity in stress provides copious justification for measuring hormonal changes. Catecholamines like epinephrine and norepinephrine, cortisol, testosterone and growth hormone and so on show sensitive reaction to stress. The major advantage of salivary sample to stress research is that its sampling technique can be performed in non-stressful conditions and without physical restraint and ethical problems. Because hormone levels in saliva is a good reflection of hormone levels in plasma, application of stress hormones in saliva is very useful for research of orofacial pain related with stress.

The reliability coefficients by Cronbach's a test was 0.94 for the stress scale. The results are as follows : 1) The mean of stress is 3.19, in the area of the etiology, prognosis and the treatment-education, with cause of the treatment the edeucatlon and the prognosis of child's handicap. The mean of stress is 2.85 In the area of the negative of mother's self image, 2.45 in the area of the mother's ordinary life. • This study applies the concepts of sociotechnical theory and role theory in order to verify the effects of stress (that is, technostress) created from information and computer technology (ICT) concerning role stress and performance. We suggest diverse perspectives concerning the elements leading to technostress along with the stress-creating process of ICT among organizational members. The following four major hypotheses are proposed: (1) Technostress is positively related to role stress (e.g., conflict and overload of roles), adverse psychological outcomes, and adverse IS use related outcomes, (2) Role conflict is positively related to adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes, (3) Role overload is positively related to adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes, and (4) Innovation support will play as a moderator between technostress, roles tress, adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes. A partial least square (PLS) with data gathered data from ICT users of organizations was used to verify the proposed hypotheses. The results supported our claims excluding the hypothesis associated to the relationship between technostress and role stress. We suggest a theoretical implication based on the verification of technostress related to the current concept of stress experienced by individuals within organizations. We also propose that a practical implication concerning the opposite effect of technostress, can be utilized as a method of reducing role stress, and suggests a diagnostic tool for assessing the degree of technostress within organizations.

  • To investigate the relationship between dental hygiene students' stress and college life satisfaction, 299 dental students and students in Gyeongnam area studied stress, stress response scale, and university life satisfaction. The results of systematic analysis according to the scale of stress response showed high values in fatigue, frustration, depression and anger. In addition, satisfaction with stress experienced negatively. Stress can give you a negative impact that can lead to serious illness. A systematic analysis using the stress response scale is expected to help reduce stress and improve college life satisfaction when the stress of college life is expected to increase maladjustment and dissatisfaction. We suggest the development and analysis of a stress response tool suitable for dental hygienists.
