  • Diastema is thought to be a problem related to aesthetics, pronunciation, or malocclusion. Due to its extent and patient conditions, orthodontic treatment, prosthodontic treatment, and conservative direct resin restoration are the treatment options for diastema closure. Additional factors need to be considered when deciding on the most appropriate treatment of diastema, particularly for patients with cerebral palsy. A 13-year-old girl visited the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Yonsei University Dental Hospital with a chief complaint of the large gap between her upper front teeth. After clinical and radiographic examinations, midline diastema of 4.5 mm, protrusive maxilla incisors, congenital missing teeth, retained primary teeth, etc. were identified. Prosthodontic treatment with intentional root canal treatment was not appropriate because of the patient's age. Dental spaces can be closed effectively via orthodontic appliances. However, additional prosthodontic and restorative intervention is unavoidable, which incurs significant costs and requires more time. Instead of orthodontic and prosthodontic treatment, direct resin restoration can address the chief complaint; these restorations are reversible, less harmful to other oral structure and teeth, relatively easy to apply, less expensive than other treatments, and require shorter office visits. Midline diastema can be treated in several ways. For diastema closure in patients with cerebral palsy, conservative resin restorations are a short, simple, and appropriate treatment compared with orthodontic or prosthodontic treatments.

With this convenience of living, the obesity rate of people is gradually increasing, and the necessity of exercise is emerging. However, many studies have shown that many people do not exercise or stop exercising in three to six months. In this paper, we have designed and developed a "Walking Pet" prototype, a healthcare-inspired AR game, based on the theoretical background of exercise and the precedent studies to verify these facts. The developed "Walking Pet" provides exercise data to motivate the person to exercise and apply the pet system to eventually enjoy the exercise. In order to verify the effectiveness of the "Walking Pet" prototype developed in this paper, we surveyed 100 males and females in need of health care applications and surveyed the satisfaction of pure functional aspects.

The controversies concerning the current referral system are being analyzed to present the improvements. Methods : The questionnaires were asked to be filled out by family members of the 76 patients by phone interview, who were referred from the Seoul National University Hospital between April, 2001 to March, 2002. They were referred to the 35 palliative and hospice care-giving institutes and hospitals which were given questionnaires by mail. Results : Of the 76 patient's family members, 47 family members accepted to answer the questionnaire. The first thing that influence to family to determine the referral of patient was solicitation of doctors or nurses (44%). And they were influenced by allowance for the other things such as convenience of patients (32%), convenience of caring family members (24%). In the course of determining of referred institutes, responders had considered at first their dwelling area, and then fame of institutes, the place which patent had wanted to spend last hours or which is suitable for patient's funeral service, and their financial condition. The worst among difficulties was unwanted discharge, and followings were lack of information about the referred institutes, concern about patient's suffering, resistance of patient and opposition of other family members, etc. Although they expressed dissatisfaction in referral procedure, most of them answered they had been satisfied with hospice care at referred institute after referral. Merits of referral which responders counted were patient's peace, caring family's comfort and reduced cost in order. Of the 35 referred institutes, 24 institutes' staffs responded mail questionnaires and sent to us in return. Except one responder, the rest approved the referral system and thought that referred patients had been satisfied with their hospice care. And they claimed that systemic support of the government is definitely necessary. The most difficult thing which responders experienced in care of referred patients was lack of information about patients. Besides, there were patient's financial problems, lack of understanding about their institutes of patients or family, and inconvenience of terminal cancer patient's pain control. Conclusion : The development and support of the organized referral system is needed to alleviate the troubles which patients, family members, and palliative or hospice institutes and hospitals have to face through the procedure of the referral.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the preceding studies and suggest alternatives to establish the role and value of martial arts sports as a leisure activity. To achieve the purpose of this study, the keywords and themes of leisure-related journals were extracted and the articles and current status of martial arts-related journals in Korea were derived using SPSS descriptive statistics method. The subjects of the analysis were 'mudo' and 'leisure' of leisure-related journals between 2005 and 2017, and an interpretative textual analysis was conducted to analyze the contents of individual studies. According to the results of the survey on the actual condition of participation in the 2016 National Sports for all, Taekwondo was ranked 5th among the top 5 sports with 6.1% of the sports for all, and Taekwondo and Kendo were ranked 1st and 2nd respectively in the sports for all students and the clubs that they want to join in the future. Second, the study on martial arts in the journals related to leisure was found most in 2006 and 2010, but only one study was not conducted after 2014, which confirmed that the absolute number of studies was very insufficient. Third, the research themes of the journals related to leisure were serious leisure, female college students, physical self-concept, social development, leisure recreation class, job satisfaction, life satisfaction, training, leisure constraints, etc., and the study of martial arts related to leisure was found to require quantitative and qualitative multilateral approaches. Fourth, in the current status of dance related studies by year in domestic journals, two of 23 studies in 2007 were conducted on leisure topics, and the average number of studies related to domestic martial arts and leisure related papers was 5.65%, which is very low. In conclusion, as a result of analyzing the trend of research on leisure as a martial arts sport, it is necessary to suggest the direction of future research that can reconsider the role and value of martial arts sport as a leisure activity that can improve the quality of life and happiness in future society through quantitative and qualitative improvement.

  • As the expansion of the cultural industry expands, various competitive structures are formed and the methodologies for producing commercial success are being discussed. Among them, Hollywood studios use political relationships and apply ideologies that can produce the best interests. Also, they use a structure that can convey this ideology, which is a mythology. The myth has satisfied the public for a ling time. Campbell suggested that strategies come from the myth, and the ideology emerged as a result of what mythology has to do with existing powers. Disney and Dream Works use the mythology and combine their own values into ideology. Disney and Dream Works choose conflicting ideologies in a different growth background. If Disney is recognized as an educational animation by the ruling class, Dream Works are supported by the public for their actions against Disney. Disney has conservative and patriotic personality, Dream Works is more liberal and progressive. Disney's structure came out first, and Dream Works parodied it. So we can compare Disney and Dream Works with similar myths to create a storytelling structure that embodies ideology. As a result, Disney and Dream Works have been choosing the 9 stages the key of Ideology form the 17 stages of the mythology and reduced them to the introduction, growth and completion. In the first units of the introduction, Disney dealt with the subject of social leaders who sacrificed to the ruling class and Dream Works hinted at the overthrow of the ruling class through the irony. If Disney had deployed colored races in the main characters, Dream Works used a variety of races from the main characters to others. In the second units of growth, Disney organized the process of accepting the value of the ruling class, and Dream Works showed the individual values, not the values of society. In the third units completion, Disney showed the main character who live in the world of the ruling class rebuilded, and Dream Works removed the ruling class and went back to the Individual life. Through the structure of Disney and DreamWorks, we learned how to utilize the mythical structures that transform according to ideologies. The right way to organize works will require the strategic approach to storytelling.

  • This study is about the re-validation evaluation of the family Relationship Scale (FRS), developed to measure the family relationship in the social work practice. This study aims at re-validating the FRS, developed and validated in by Yang in 2001 for more general utilization. The sample was married mates and females residing in Seoul. For Face Validity, the content analysis was performed, and the FRS was re-validated in the dimensions of Love & Caring, Acceptance, and Recognition, positive affection, empathy, and autonomy and flexibility for each area. Internal reliability was .93, and internal consistency among three dimensions was 93%. For Empirical Validity, the Construct validity, the Criterion validity, and the Discriminant validity were performed. Construct Validity was validated through factor analyses. Commonalities for the factor analysis was 54%, and the factor loading for each factor was over .45. The confirmative factor analysis also confirmed the fitness of the scale. For Predictive Validity of Criterion Validity, regression analysis showed that the family stress scores became lower as the scores of the family relationship became higher; the discriminant analysis revealed that the family stress turned low ill tile group of high scores of family relationship. The Correlation analysis for Concurrent Validity was performed and the results showed the positive and significant relationship with a couple communication level (r=54) and a parent-child communication level (r=64). Life satisfaction and mental health level also revealed significantly positive correlation to prove Convergent Validity. Physical health level revealed a weak relationship with family relationship providing the evidence of Discriminant Validity. Discriminance was also proved by the analysis of variance with demographics. Thus, Cross Validation was confirmed the validation of the FRS through the various analyses with the married population. This study result improved the validity generalization of the Scale and verify the generalized usage of this sociometric scale in the field of social work practice.
