Speed Sensorless Torque Monitoring of Induction Spindle Motor using Graphic programming (그래픽 프로그래밍 기법을 주축용 유도전동기의 속도 센서리스 토크감시)

  • In vector control technique, stator currents of an induction motor are transformed to equivalent d-q currents in reference frame consist of d and q axis, each of which is coincide with flux and torque direction respectively. In this paper, the new algorithm is suggested where the stator current through an induction motor torque is monitored by using a vector control method where an additional equipment is not need. The G-programming is used to apply the suggested algorithm in the experiment and this is applied to an actual system to monitor the torque value of an induction motor on real time. To solve the vibration trouble of estimated torque caused from an unbalanced real rotating speed of an induction motor and measured rotating speed by suggesting the reconstructed in a method based on measurement current signal. This produced system testifies an accuracy of an induction motor through the experiment by comparing the reference value of the control method.

  • In this paper, we have developed a PLD Designer which is a design tool for digital circuits design using PLD device. PLD designer consists of a state graphic editor to extract boolean equations from state table within 20 states of FSM and a pin map editor to assign pin map for PLD device(PAL16R4, PAL22V10, GAL16V8, etc), which is suitable for extracted boolean equations. Also pin map editor generates a necessary JEDEC file to implement PLD device by using fuse map and checksum algorithm. To verify extracted boolean equation, we have developed simulation test vector generation algorithm. The results of JEDEC files generated by PLD designer is same with the results of JEDEC files generated by PALASM.

Design of a Truncated Floating-Point Multiplier for Graphic Accelerator of Mobile Devices (모바일 그래픽 가속기용 부동소수점 절사 승산기 설계)

  • As the mobile communication and the semiconductor technology is improved continuously, mobile contents such as the multimedia service and the 2D/3D graphics which require high level graphics are serviced recently. Mobile chips should consume small die area and low power. In this paper, we design a truncated floating-point multiplier that is useful for the 2D/3D vector graphics in mobile devices. The truncated multiplier is based on the radix-4 Booth's encoding algorithm and a truncation algorithm is used to achieve small area and low power. The average percent error of the multiplier is as small as 0.00003% and neglectable for mobile applications. The synthesis result using 0.35um CMOS cell library shows that the number of gates for the truncated multiplier is only 33.8 percent of the conventional radix-4 Booth's multiplier.

  • The net shape effects by the various vectors in underwater. Each particle of the net calculating the effect of all vectors augments an accuracy and reality. But, the time complexity becomes larger because of huge calculation. The previous techniques reduced a physics reality. And embodied the underwater virtual reality which augments visual reality with simulation. In this paper, parallel processing the particles, it embodied the simulation which is satisfied a physical reality and time reality. The parallel processing used the OpenMP, and the reality graphic expression used the OpenGL. The simulation which this paper Proposes will be the possibility becoming the fundamental data for a model analysis or a specialist system from game and marine field.

  • We present a new use of common graphics hardware to perform a faster artificial neural network. And we examine the use of GPU enhances the time performance of the image processing system using neural network, In the case of parallel computation of multiple input sets, the vector-matrix products become matrix-matrix multiplications. As a result, we can fully utilize the parallelism of GPU. Sigmoid operation and bias term addition are also implemented using pixel shader on GPU. Our preliminary result shows a performance enhancement of about thirty times faster using ATI RADEON 9800 XT board.

  • Svg(Scalable Vector Graphics) is xml graphic standard recommended by E3C as a language based on xml to express two-dimension graphic. Svg can accommodate all Xml's patency and advantage of interoperability, and can used as various web applications being combined with other xml language. In addition, Svg can be applied to the fields of electronic commerce, geographical information, computer education and advertisement because it can produce high quality of dynamic from real-time data. SVG's application can be enhanced by linking with database. In this paper, we discuss how Svg can be utilized in theater reservation system, not just explaining svg's meaning or ability. Svg added graphic advantage in addition to xml's advantage. This means that svg retains not only graphic element but also xml's softness. It becomes easier to designate seats and add them. Current reservation system provided in general only information on time and price for a ticket, but the system using SVG in this paper provides additional information on position, price, cancellation and purchase availability of seat.

  • Generally, depth cache and pixel cache of 3D graphics are designed by using write-back scheme for efficient use of memory bandwidth. Also, there are write after read operations of same address or only write operations are occurred frequently in 3D graphics cache. If a cache miss is detected, an access to the external memory for write back operation and another access to the memory for handling the cache miss are operated simultaneously. So on frequent cache miss situations, as the memory access bandwidth limited, the access time of the external memory will be increased due to memory bottleneck problem. As a result, the total performance of the processor or the IP will be decreased, also the problem will increase peak power consumption. So in this paper, we proposed a novel early write back cache architecture so as to solve the problems issued above. The proposed architecture controls the point when to access the external memory as to copy the valid data block. And this architecture can improve the cache performance with same hit ratio and same capacity cache. As a result, the proposed architecture can solve the memory bottleneck problem by preventing intensive memory accesses. We have evaluated the new proposed architecture on 3D graphics z cache and pixel cache on a SoC environment where ARM11, 3D graphic accelerator and various IPs are embedded. The simulation results indicated that there were maximum 75% of performance increase when using various simulation vectors.

  • This paper presents a hardware accelerator for accelerating vector graphics applications based on the OpenVG standard. Since our design mainly targets embedded applications, we focus on efficient uses of limited resources, especially the memory bandwidth. The designed accelerator can process the images of $640{\times}240$ pixels with moderate complexity at the rate of 30 frames per second.

  • 학교 교육 현장에 웹 기반의 교육의 형태가 늘어나는 추세지만 학생이 홈페이지 형태의 교재를 보면서 웹브라우저 상에 필기하고 저장하여 다시 그 내용을 볼 수 있는 환경은 아직 제공되고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 벡터 그래픽 기반의 VML과 DHTML를 이용하여 웹브라우저 상에서 수업 교재로서 제공된 문서에 줄을 긋거나 필기한 수 있는 환경을 제공한다. 필기된 내용은 동적으로 만들어진 VML 정식의 텍스트 기반으로 데이터 베이스에 저장된다. 교재로서의 웹문서는 웹서버에서 VML의 내용은 데이터 베이스에서 추출해서 웹문서와 VML의 내용이 웹 브라우저에서 함께 출력됨으로써 필기 내용을 다시 볼 수 있는 웹노트 시스템을 제안함으로써 전자 문서 표준화에 발맞춰 엄청난 교과서 제작 비용의 감소 효과와 교사의 교재와 칠판 필기 및 학생의 교과서와 노트가 오직 PC나 노트북만으로 해결 가능한 교육 현장 전반의 획기적인 전환이 예상된다.

  • In recent days high perfermance graphic operation is needed, since computer graphics is widely used for computer-aided design and simulator using high resolution graphic card. In this paper a graphic accelerator is designd with the functions of graphic primitives generation and geometrical transformations. 1-D Systolic Array Processor for Matris Vector operation is designed and used in main ALU of a graphic accelerator, since these graphic algorithms have comonon operation of Matris Vector. Conclusively, in case that the resolution of graphic domain is 800$\times$600, and 33.3nsec operator is used in a graphic accelerator, 29732 lines per second and approximately 6244 circles per second is generated.
